Evaporating thin head, yeasty aroma with hint of spice, light caramel cloudy body. Fizzes citrus fruit in your mouth, has a sour alcohol bite at the end. Very refreshing, deceptively easy to drink.

A very light and fruity beer. It's just doesn't have the overall quality I was expecting. Very good, but nothing great.

Pale yellow and orange in color, murky, small head that vanishes quickly. Dry, fruity and yeasty nose. Smooth palate, medium to full body. Flavor is a bit sour, yeasty and fruity. Dry finish.

Intended to be poured with a good amount of head. Less sweet than other types of Hoegaarden. Cloudy because Hoegaarden skips the final filtration most Interbrew beers have. (I've been to the brewery). Means its one of the healthiest Belgian beers. :) So drink up!

PetetheMeat (621) - Hove, DENMARK - MAR 25, 2004
Yellow unclear 'tripel wheat'(?), white head. Complex fruity, sweetness, spicey (coriander, bergamots, sechuan pepper). Yeast and a some bitterness. Hides the high ABV very well. Smooth palate. Overall a rich, well balanced beer.

Golden orange murk with a white head. Cloves and wheat aroma (not unlike a wheat beer?). Sweet but mild initially, Hint of sour and then a good bitter kick after you swallow.

Wheaty aroma with cloves, citric fruitiness, yeast and alcohol. Initial sweetness gives way to mild bitterness and alcohol. Spritzy finish.

Dark cloudy yellow body, white foamy head. Fruit, wheat, banana and citrus aroma. Sweet and sour fruity flavor. Hides the high ABV very well!

mikeben (355) - Naperville, Illinois, USA - FEB 20, 2004
UPDATED: APR 1, 2004 This is a good beer that tastes like a German styled wheat more then a wit. The alcohol is high and I got a pleasent buzz from one bottle. This is not as good as the regular or speciale, but it is a solid example of the style. Much better with a lemon, it is a very good beer but there are comparible ones availible more readily.

UPDATED: MAY 30, 2004 Cloudy golden. Notes of orange and yeast in the aroma. Taste is pale malt, coriander orange and alcohol. Slightly bitter finish.
