3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Spicy, lightly fruity aroma. Slightly hazy, with a golden color. Complex fruit notes are present in abundance, pineapples being particularly noticeable. Aftertaste is fairly light, with a touch of vanilla among the fading fruit and spice. This is a complex and well-balanced beer.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A very good beer - it pretty much just tastes like a higher alcohol version on Hoegaarden - but really is nicer. Would buy again.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a lovely cloudy dark golden color, with long lasting head. Fruity, with a dash of corriander. Probably the best from the Hoegaarden stable.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Thick creamy head with irregular to very large bubbles, collapsing but reasonably stable. Peachy colour, hazey. Nose with coriander, white candi sugar, pefumed, citrussy. Very perfumed taste as well, slightly bitterish - orange peel taste, wheaty. Lots of sweetness left. Fizzy mouthfeel. Bitterish, spicey aftertaste. Much citruspeel again, and some kind of exotic fruit. Hoegaarden Grand Cru used to be a beer on its own - uninterchangeable. Maybe it still is. But I do miss the Pierre Celis - touch.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Nice blondish brown with a white head. Spicy floral bouquet dominates the nose. The first sip reveals spice and yeast. Further sips reveals more malt and spice but definitely sweeter tones. Nice sweetly smooth finish.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Great spicy nose when you pour this beer, redolent of coriander and a hint of clove. Very active in the glass in the early stages. It settles into a bigger version of the standard beer but beats it hands down with its body. Head retention was quite good and it left a nice lacing all the way down. The orange was an undertone that adds to the overall enjoy emtn of the beer.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Nice fruity mix with a good combo of yeasty flavours. Glad to find some maltiness to it and no offensive banana flavours (not a fan of their Blonde). Had a background bitterness that took me a bit by suprise. If I was hosting another beer tasting I would definately have this available.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Orange and yeasty aroma. Fast disappating head, deep amber cloudy colour. Similar to standard Hoegaarden just a bit stronger and sweeter.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Dark yellow body, slightly cloudy, very effervescent. I poured and a hug head formed. I went to use the restroom and when I came back (yes, I did wash my hands, thank you) the head was bigger. Very nice appearance, very elegant and sparkling, although heads so large that you get nothing but foam for the first few sips irritate me. They do look good though. Back to the beer, the coriander is subdued, a bit more orangey here. The wheat/malt is bigger here and appropriately this is a heavier beer. I get a little oats in the flavor. The mouthfeel is slick and the tiniest bit thick. Good beer but something about it gives it lower drinkability than the looks would suggest.
