2.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
pours a beautiful, white head over the golden liquid. But the flavour is just too much. It seems to be going in every possible direction at the same time and leaves the drinker rather puzzled. What are they trying to achieve? It bears too much resemblence with a young, unconditioned beer to really set me off!

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: JAN 8, 2006 (Bottle 33 cl) Pale, hazy strong ale. Yeasty and very spicy. I believe this one has all the typical wit-bier flavourings - without being a wheat. 300493

Hazy, big brother of Hoegaarden white, higher alcohol, very nice beer, but I like their white better on a sunny day...

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cloudy gold appearance and small head. The banana aroma was striking. There was some other stuff there too. Incense perhaps? Flavour was complex and interesting, but ultimately too far from my preconceptions of what beer ought to taste like.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. A full fruity aroma - primarily banana. Medium yellow color - cloudy. Flavor of wheat and banana esters - like a geared up version of their witbier or a Hefeweizen. Very nice.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured a hazy orange color with a small, white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of orange spice, yeast, and cardamom. Taste of tart citrus, dry and yeasty, light alcohol in the finish.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tasted 30/03/2005. 330ml bottle from Leuven, Wellington.
Extra cold bottle from a "specialist" belgian bar leaves a little to be desired.
Murky orange gold with a thick pure white head that fades to a strong lacing. Peach and nectarine dominate the nose up front and later, as it warms, a strong alcohol aroma tending to ethanol. flavour is oranges and a touch of bubblegum with a little sour yoghurt from the yeast. Some pepper. Palate is pithy with a touch of anise.
Could be so much better if I tried this one in the comfort of my own home.
