3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Hazy golden yellow, with a bit billowy white head and nice brewers lace. Sweeter than regular Hoegaarden, I detected less spice and citrus. Aroma is muted, with just a bit of yeast and alcohol poking through. Thicker palate than the wit as well. Enjoyable, thanks Doug.

bottled madrid, spain: golden haze with large off white head. a little mountain top rockiness. kindred spirits and jackolantern eyes. reminded me of a tripel with too much alcohol burn at the end. ease off the devil and let this one go. you could end up chaising the dragon yourself if your not careful.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Hand delivered from overseas. Very cloudy dark yellow. Big head takes a while to settle. Spicy and zesty aroma, nice not overpowering. Foamy in the mouth. Peppery edge to the flavour throughout. Slow alcohol finish. Some citrus flavours and spices popup throughout the drink.

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Mid gold, cloudy, with a distinct suspended sediment. tigh white head. musty, sweaty aroma with a malty base. Bitter, dry taste which is quite mouth puckering, but still surprisingly full of body. Not really my cup of tea, especially when considered against the remarkable Rodenbach Grand Cru.

3.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Better than Verboden Vrucht, but still not as good as the standard wit. A lot of nasty sludge in the sampled bottle. Very nice aroma, but also very alcoholic.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Hazy orange with mostly vanishing head. Lively carbonation. Wheat, citrus, prune aroma. Citrus flavor with hints of wheat and sweet fruits. Hides ABV quite well. Generally dissapointing after an excellent "normal" Hoegaarden.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle: Poured a golden colored beer with a huge thick head with great retention. Aroma is quite spicy with what seems to be some wheat. I was quite surprise by the taste which includes a fair share of spices, some sweet malt and again something similar to wheat. I thought the taste was closer to a tripel then a regular Belgian ale. The alcohol was well hidden which make this beer even more enjoyable. God, I wish American macros would taste like this sometimes.
