Beautiful to look at and smell, but flavour-wise it really is just a jacked-up version of the regular old Ho’. Somewhat sweeter and heavier on the spice, with a strong familiar yeastiness. Well-carbonated and yields a great head, but I find the overly full mouthfeel distracting. Long finish is quite citrussy and bit hoppy.

Lot expiration was stamped: 22//02/07. Sampled in Ieper. Nice huge initial head with good initial lacing that rolled away with the tilt of the glass. Pour was golden and cloudy yellow. Aroma was sweet and strong, with the alcohol also detectable. Flavor was much of the same, although the alcohol wasn’t too bad. Spices, coriander, and other flavors detected. A very nice beer.

Dark golden coloured beer with a small white head, lively carbonation. Sweet malty aroma. Sweey matly taste, ends pretty dry. Quite fizzy, mediumbodied, slightly grainy towards the end with a dash of alcohol. Not very elegant or special, but it suffices.

Orange-yellow colour, lots of sprankling, average white head, and a lot of yeast at the bottom of the bottle%. Fruity, sweet malty aroma, herby, rather dry, dough with a light yeasty alcoholic touch. Full body, lots of carbonation. Finish is sweet-bitter, ending rather dry and just a little alcoholic. An average one.

Smooth and fruity taste. Sweet aroma with a yeast/fruit aftertaste perfect on a hot day sitting in a beer garden. A few of these and you’ll be feeling all summery.

Aroma with notes of flowerly fruits, candy, spices (cloves) and alcohol. Rich malty, sweetness with big flavor of oranges. Acid, strong alcohol and cointreau notes.

33cl Bottle. Thick, cloudy amber orange colour, with a fairly bubbly white head. Complex aroma: cloves, lemon, and a general rich sweetness. The lavour was tangy, fruity, with wheat hints - like a strong hoegaarden witbier. Thick, almost syrupy mouthfeel. I found the finish quite alcoholic/vinegary, accompanied by bitterness, which put me off, but then I am not a great fan of stronger beers. Quality in moderation.

Enough to make a grown man cry! Fantastic on every level. Ratebeer readers, I recommend trying this with a nice peice of Salmon or other similar fish. This is figuratively and literally the top of the barrel.

Huge ivory head with cloudy golden body. The nose bears a strong aroma of coriander, honey and malts. The flavor was full of spice, clove, and was slightly sweet with notes of plum. The aftertaste was slightly bitter and peppery from the alcohol. Medium to full body. Moderate finish.

Bottled. Unclear yellow-orange with a small whitish head. Sweet, yeasty aroma with spice (coriander) and orange peel. Sharp, tart witbier flavor. Acidy finish after a smooth, creamy start. Malty. Strong spiciness is a plus but wears on me by the end. A little wood flavoring, too. Extra alcohol is appreciated, adds a punch. Nice one, but I’m not going to rave.
