30 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange with a huge white head. Malty, slight spiced and classic belgian yeast. Soft malty and first, gains some herbal and bitter notes later. Caramel smoothness throughout. Mellow bitter finish with warming alcohol presence.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
An unclear orange beer with a small head - very bubbly. The aroma is sweet with powerful notes of orange. The flavor is great, with a nice sweetness and powerful orange notes and more faint yeasty notes. Ending on a very faint bitterness. Really a good beer.

UPDATED: JAN 8, 2006 (Bottle 33 cl) Pale, hazy strong ale. Yeasty and very spicy. I believe this one has all the typical wit-bier flavourings - without being a wheat. 300493

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottled, huge white head (no matter how I tried to pur it), disappeared in a few minutes. Orangebrown/golden coloured and cloudy. Smells very fruity and fresh. Tastes fruity, spicy and a bit of alcohol. The minor alcohol taste fits the whole well, and suits the sweet fruit taste. Wellbalanced taste.

Bottled. Cloudy orange with creamy head. Orangey yeasty aroma. Sugary sweet with soft mouthfeel. Malty and mild. Once upon a time this was one of the beer that got me started, and I don't know if it has lost a bit of itäs edge, or if my taste have changed since.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Unclear golden with fine white head. Aroma of yeast fruits(citrus) & spices. Ok filling texture. Wheat and spices dominates throughout and ends up with a bitter finish. Pleasant and good alternative to the regular Hoegaarden.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Cloudy blond beer; giant creamy head. Pleasant malty and spicy aroma (coriander); dry. Dry and spicy taste as well, very well balanced; some malt; correct bitterness at the end, quite long. I appreciate it mostly for its harmony.
