33 cl bottle@home in Trappist glass@approx 12 degrees C. (too warm) Pours clear darkish yellow with little flecks of yeast in suspension. Medium white head with tiny bubbles and decent retention. Aroma of sweet malt, a little yeast an a little alcohol. Taste also malty with a hint of apple, honey and very subdued yeast. The alcohol warmth is also present. Well balanced also in the aftertaste, where hop bitterness appears to a moderate degree. Not an explosion of new experiences in taste, but a nice, well balanced Belgian Strong Ale.

Riktigt gott.

aroma is undefined, the beer pours into a misty yellow with an expansive white head. where the beer wins itself back with me is the flavor a strong boozy flavor with a subtle floral undertaste. quite an enjoyable beer.

A classic. Bonuspoints granted. Normal aroma and appearance, but damn good taste. Warm, spicy, full and lasting aftertaste. I think many of the current great beers built on this one.

330 ml bottle. Picked this up at Super Food in Aruba while on holiday. Pours a hazy yellow gold color with a thick creamy mousse-like head. Yeasty malt nose has earthy citrus notes. Flavor follows nose, with a touch of hay and lemon peel. Some grassy hops in middle, but this is mostly malt forward. Noticeable alcohol in finish. Quite nice.

Poured OK to leave a foamy clear white head. Hazy body with a gradient amber colour showing some floaties. Smells quite sweet and typical Belgian yeast. On sipping, sweetness strikes first and slight bitterness emerges only to be smothered by smooth butterscotch. More to appreciate on tasting buds than nose. Sweetness lingers on yet vanishes rather swiftly. Not impressively different to the brewery’s flagship wheat beer but worth a sipping and enjoyable on its own.

En boca malta de trigo moderado, lúpulo especiado moderado, lúpulo de amargor moderado, acetato de isoamilo, fenoles a pimienta blanca, acidez correcta, tibieza alcohólica, umami. Bottle - Hazy deep golden colour, small, melting white head. Grainy aromas with a lot of typical belgian fruity esters and yeast. Taste is wheaty with some honey, raisins, some clove, banana, some herbal hop notes and bubble gum. Full body, fizzy carbonation, a bit sticky texture, sweet finish with some acidic aftertaste. Alcohol is well hidden. Nice belgian strong ale, but not an easy drinking one.
