Very nice orange/golden colour. Nice aroma and aftertaste. Small light head. This is a heavy beer but you don’t taste the alcohol to much in it.

Enough to make a grown man cry! Fantastic on every level. Ratebeer readers, I recommend trying this with a nice peice of Salmon or other similar fish. This is figuratively and literally the top of the barrel.

This is a great whit beer. Its much like Hoegaarden White, but stronger and smoother. Its definately a beer you have to take your time drinking. Overall its a wonderful beer.

UPDATED: APR 1, 2004 This is a good beer that tastes like a German styled wheat more then a wit. The alcohol is high and I got a pleasent buzz from one bottle. This is not as good as the regular or speciale, but it is a solid example of the style. Much better with a lemon, it is a very good beer but there are comparible ones availible more readily.

Hoegaarden... une brasserie qui a été pionnière de la bière blanche. Une brasserie qui fait maintenant partie du groupe Inbev... La Hoegaerden Grand Cru vise bien sûr le créneau des bières spéciales, parce que les grands groupes veulent aussi des spécialités … et les royalties qui les accompagnent. Avouons quand même que les efforts nécessaires ont été faits sur l’emballage, mais la modestie ne les a pas étranglés en appelant cette bière : bière noble de dégustation. Donc il nous reste à savoir ce que vaut le liquide … Une couleur un peu curieuse sur la pêche et l’abricot clair. Mais la clarté est impeccable, et des milliers de fines bulles partent du centre comme dans une flûte de champagne, malgré un exemplaire assez vieux. La mousse nappe valablement. L’odeur est de mirabelle, prune claire, houblon, avec une pointe de miel, de sirop de Liège et de gingembre. La bière est annoncée comme contenant quelques épices mystérieuses... Le volume est devenu soyeux avec l’âge. Le 1er goût laisse dominer ces épices curieuse du genre girofle, câpres, avec un zeste de pampelemousse. Le 2ème goût laisse sentir un peu de muscade. Le 3ème goût présente de la banane, de l’abricot et une pointe de trèfle. Le suivi sur la longueur est d’épices douces. Le levure est bien typée et parfumée. L’alcool est faiblement marqué malgré les 8,5% abv. La finale est sympathique. Une belle bière qui mérite d’être connue et gagne à subir plusieurs dégustations parce qu’elle se définit mieux et s’apprécie davantage sur la répétition des essais.

This beer is superb. This is probably one of the finest beers that I have tasted. Great aroma and after taste.

I absolutely loved this and it is probably the best wheat beer I have ever had. The guy before me said it perfectly, its just like hoegaarden only better in every way.

33 cl bottle. Super cloudy golden/orangy color. No head. Medium carbonation. Creamy taste. Alchool taste almost not present. Light banana taste and citrus flavors. I prefer this one to Hoegaarden white !!

Tasted this beer while on Beer Quest 2010 with the guys. This was beer number 70. Originally had this beer in Ireland with James but never got around to rating it. this was a delicious beer. Pour is perfect. Hazy with lots of sediment. Aroma is sweet malts, coriander. Flavor is well balanced and smooth.

Not much to say about this beer. Taste it! This is one of Belgian best beer. Smooth and fine. Verys good aroma of banana and malt. It taste unbescrible good of caramell, malt, yeast, banana, coriander and many more...
