Orange pour with a white head. Strange skunked aroma, a bit of banana, and some fruity esters. Sweet bready malt, a bit of caramel, and some toffee. Mild alcohol flavor, a lot of banana, and some pear and apple esters. Light spice, tons of sweet malt, and a fair amount of sugar.

Lichtblond bier met een mooie witte schuimkraag. Is lang geleden dat ik dit dronk en vraag me af of het nog wel gebrouwen wordt. Tripel achtig bier dat ik vroeger graag dronk !

One of the original Hoegaarden beers created by Pierre Celis in the eighties, then taken over by Interbrew (now AB InBev) and apparently still made. Snow white head, colour a deep orangey blonde. Very akin to Hoegaarden Grand Cru, but more sugary sweetness, even cloying till deep into the finish, and more hop bitterness. I’m not into AB InBev products in the first place but I would prefer Hoegaarden Grand Cru over this one.
