The story of the jam jars gave us an idea. Hoegaarden Rosée. It might be pink but it is very much a wheat beer. It also features the soft taste and subtle colour of raspberries. And while it doesn’t feature a higher alcohol percentage, it does mean you can enjoy it even more in the sun.
Ingredients: water, barley malt, unmalted wheat, fruits (10%), raspberry (6%), sugar, sweetener, hops, yeast.

250ml can. Pink pour, hazy, big foamy pinkish cap. Sweet raspberry nose. Taste s sweet, syrupy raspberry fruit. Sugary finish. Medium body, moderate carbonation. Too sweet and fake tasting to enjoy more than one tiny can of this, but I know I’m not the target audience for this beverage.

It pours hazy pink, with a thin white head. Aroma is of industrial raspberry juice and yeast. In the palate can still feel a bit of malty and yeasty Witbier in it, but it’s overwhelmed by the same industrial juice. Anyway it’s a decent radler for summer, it tastes fresh. Girly.

Bottle. Can’t believe I actually ended up trying that... Tastes like sweet artificial raspberry juice, not sure where the beer is in there, some kind of macro radler really. Pretty shameful release focusing on casual drinking young ladies maybe...

Bottle of 25cl, in a Hoegaarden Tumbler glass; from the fridge. Nice little fruity beer, with no great taste (a little chemical by the way). The colour is dark-pink... Boarf.

Pours reddish amber, pink frothy head. Aroma is strawberry jam and raspberry. Taste is slightly sweet, refreshing, light-bodied and medium-to-low lasting. One for the summer, thirst-quenching, easy-drinking.

Bottle at home in the sun. Clouded coral red with ruby hue, and clear white head. Strawberry and raspberry lemonade syrup, sugar replacement/sweetener. Over medium sweet with a mild stale cardboard and sandy finish. Under medium body, average carbonation. I’d prefer a raspberry lemonade or a pilsner over this any time, but it’s still quite a refreshing drink.
