It is even better then Celis White. Everyything a beer should be. Beautiful color of gold, A fantastic smell. Creamy mouthfeel, terrific flavor. This does not even need a lemon or Orange. I never had anything this good. Wits and Wheats rule DanielBrown (1919), Birmingham (via Leicester), West Midlands, England
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 2, 2004 Bottle from the Anchor, Birmingham. Peanut and almond aroma, with a richer, more orange colour than standard Hoe. Petite ring of white fluff, with an orderly level of lacing. Initially tastes just like normal Hoegaarden, but things do get dryer and more bitter towards the long, salty/bready/malty finish. I actually prefer normal Hoe - this really doesn't seem that Speciale to me; but at the end of the day, it's still a quality Wit.
