BelgiskOlklub (397), Viby J, Denmark Oct 19, 2008 Bottle. Hazy orange body, small white haed. Aroma of malt, hay, straw and oranges. Sweet flavor, none bitterness. Watery texture. beeR (60), Helsinki, Finland Aug 24, 2008 25 cl bottle. One of the best Hoegaarden beers in my opinion. An appreciable slight complexity, above all in the aroma, and in the same time drinkable and refreshing. White creamy head that falls quickly. A pale golden-yellow, cloudy. Pleasant but not strong aroma of banana, citric notes, spicy (a little bit of pepper) and a vanilla sweetness. Te taste is more bitter and intense than the aroma, but also a fruity sweetness which overpowers the aftertaste. Smooth and softly carbonated mouthfeel. Wim (1278), Turnhout, Belgium Aug 8, 2008 cloudy gold blond coloured body with a white head a wheaty fruity aroma a sweet little fruity grainy taste with a bitter finish iammarc (193), Inverness, Scotland Jul 28, 2008 Not a bad one, but not my favourite hoegaarden. The small 25cl bottle leaves you wanting a little more. Dark yellow (is there such a thing?), hazy pale yellow (that’s better). Bubbly taste. Info: 250ml bottle, 27/3-2007, 163/500 fiulijn (7150), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Jun 8, 2008 Cloudy blond color, with a big head. It has a quite evident spicy aroma (cloves then coriander). The body is a bit rounder than other Wit beers, with some malt and wheat flavor and a delicate spicyness; there is still some sweetness and very light orange fruitness. Balanced. Pleasant. gunnfryd (3539), Kristiansand, Norway May 29, 2008 Bottle. Golden colour with a white head. Aroma is citrus, fruit, spices. Flavour is citrus, malt, fruit, spices. Nice body. Pleasent and easy drinkable beer.
