3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
An enjoyable beer though not one that I feel differs entirely from the original Hoegaarden.
Orange appearance with a citrusy aroma to match.
All in all an enjoyable if not outstanding witbier.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottled 28/06/14. Less hazy than regular Hoegaarden but richer and more grown up. Yeasty and wheaty notes and joined by good alcohol and the merest amount of spice. Tasty.

Appearance with yellowish color (darker), cloudy liqui and nice foaming.
Citrus and wheat aroma.
On the palate, the taste is fruity, with cilantro and very complex.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Light misty blond body and stable head. Generic belgian malt profile, light and biscuity, not very full except for the small amount of residual white sugar. Lightly hopped, a bit of a belgian yeast in the end. Light bubbly, okay mouth feel. Light bready and hazy base makes for an okay beer, but the general profile stays quite forgettable. Special? Well because they can sell this 25cl bottle for a 33cl price perhaps... Drinkable and fresh? Yeah, that it is. (25cl bottle from Cave Gambrinus SPdC)

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bouteille: Golden, hazy, small and quickly collapsing loose white head, sweetish wheaty and fruity nose with a slight alcoholic touch; moderate both sweet and tart flavour, already medium bodied; slightly lingering tart-fruity, wheaty and also hoppy finish. Odd style, but far better than expected…

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
25cl bottle from Vanuxeem. Was really struggling to tell the difference between this and standard Hoegaarden. Regardless it’s nice to be reacquainted with this beer once again.. a lovely distinctive wit taste that always seems to hit the spot.
