Thanks to jk for sharing. Pours a nice cloudy reddish/orangish/brown. Odd earthy funky spicy nose, that is very interesting and really peaks my interest. Weird salty flavor profile that has hints of sweet malt and yeasty spiciness. Very neat, but interesting. A little overcarbonated.

Tasted 2007-03-20. Fresh bottle, 33cl. A red-brown colour - impossible to see through! Off-white head. Very beautiful - very creamy. A fruity aroma of yeast. Ditto taste with a little bitterness in the finnish - not a lot! A very complex beer with a great body.

Have had this a several times over the years, a HUGE complex beer, never fails to satisfy. The first time I tried it was at work ( I worked for an off licence chain, now extinct!) but I couldn’t finish it!

Bottle.33cl. The most complex of the Hoegaarden beers, but i dont think it is the best of them, deeper color, a bit sweeter, almost cloying.

Bottle, 330ml, 8.5% ABV. A cloudy light brown colour with a small head. Aroma is fruity (peach) with breaddy yeast and some spice. Taste is caramel with some malt, a hint of fruit (peach), a hint of wheat and a spiced quality (ginger?). Quite sweet. Alcohol fairly noticable. High carbonation. A somewhat fruity, citric finish with a touch of wheat.

33cL bottle. Caramel color with fruity nose. Fruity taste almost too sweet. Drinkable, but nothing great.
