Beer is reddish brown with a nice sour cherry aroma. Flavour is tart with lots of dry cherries and plum flavour. Finishes with a slight sweetness but otherwise dry. A good ale. Malt, a bit of caramel and a bit of alcohol in the nose. Flavor is sweet malt, spices, a bit of dry fruits, and alcohol. A medium body. Not interesting enough both in flavor and aroma. A nice, rich reddish brown color with haze. A medium head with reddish tones. A rich mouth feel without being overwhelming. Nice fruits, caramels, and an earthiness in the flavor. Smooth finish. faroeviking (6032), BjórtjóðveldiðBjórheimBjórsins, Faroe Islands

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 31, 2006 A dark chocolate brown coloured beer with a thickish white head. A spicy, fruity aroma, peppery, cinnamon, with apple, plum and raisins. The taste is slightly sour, and a little yeasty, but with a wonderful rounded fruit flavour coming from the aroma, dark ripe fruits and the spice again. This time cinnamon and pepper are joined by a cough candy clove-like flavour that lasts into the finish. Somewhat catty and overly yeasty (in 2002). Malt did not seem to balance the competing flavors well. SudsMcDuff (1691), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston, Texas, USA
