| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 27, 2006 Nice deep amber/copper and very cloudy with yeast and sediment. Aroma is fruity esters, wheat, spice, apple, raisin, and some clovey phenols. Spicy flavor balanced with bready malts, slightly dirty yeast, earthy, and more fruits. A bit sweet in the middle, but finishes off dry and nice. destroye7 (304), Melbourne, Australia

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Jul 7, 2006 Bottle at The Dovetail. Deep bronze-coloured with a healthy off-white head that does not die down. Fruityaromas with bubblegum and spices as well as banana notes. Complex sweet flavours of caramel, banana and clove, matched by good hoppiness leading to a refreshing finish. Full-bodied and well-carbonated. Dryish mouthfeel. It’s InBev, I know, but still a great Belgian beer. jimmack (1221), Nutley, New Jersey, USA

Really murky light brown color with a good sized beige head. Coriander, mildly sweet malt and candi sugar are the main characteristics of this beer. Decent, but really didn’t do much for me. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | Jul 3, 2006 8.5%. Pours murky orangey brown with a big bubbly head, which fades quite quickly, what’s left laces. Complex aroma, malty, strawberry, alcohol, citrus, rather like Pimm’s No. 1! Yeasty taste, some syrupy caramel, malty, plums after, alcohol, maybe a touch of raspberry. More undisinguishable dark fruit. Palate is slightly dry, spicy, touch of herb maybe? Nice ale, rather complex, needs more palate, but enjoybale. beerlady (453), lucerne, Switzerland
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 18, 2006 bottle bought iin switzerland,on the back label all name is written in 4 languages,french,english(forbidden fruit),spanish, german, on front label the original name verboden vrucht
head has a nice clear brownish color, when diminushing, it lets a nice, rather thick white film on the beer
nice redish-brown glooming and hazy color (like at the end of sunset)
smells like it has corriander in it, smells malty too and yeasty, just by opening the bottle there was even a hint of banana
smooth carbonation
tasts bitter-sweet, fruity, some orange-like taste, some citrus, some caramel or more like caramel-toffee,some warm alcohol, some hidden banana
aftertaste
(should have a list of ingredients, not only mention that it contains barley-malt and wheat !(what’s for exemple about the yeast?)
aftertaste even a hint of plums,orange too,nice bitterness,warm alcohol
the name of the beer is well choosen, because it is fruity!
rather well balanced
I like it !!
