Dark brown body with an offwhite head. No lacing and high carbonation. Smells of raisins, caramel, orange, and malt. Mouthfeel is very carbonated like a sprite. Taste is of plums and raisins with some citrus notes. Very easy and smooth to drink. Slight hop bite. Good brew.

Bottle from the Bottle Shop in Brugge. Dark purplish brown color with a nice off-white head. Aroma of dark fruits, spices, malt, and yeast. Flavor more of the same, mostly malty with figs, berries, and spices. Smooth medium palate. Pretty solid stuff.

Bottled at Take One in Mestreech. Color is warm brown with thick creamy off-white head and sour nose. Aroma is sweet and sour with lots of yeast. Finishes long with yeast. Nice bear but overwhelmingly yeasty. Alcohol is stinging.

1st tried: 33cl Bottle in Brussels Belgium 2008. Great strong aroma gives intial hint of fruitiness, Dark, cloudy and almost a deep deep purple/brown in colour. The flavour is bold with strong fruity elements accompanied with spicy undertones. The beer provides an appropriate level of fizz with a generous finish. Really enjoy this beer and drink it regularly.

33cl bottle at A tutta birra, Milano. Amber cloudy colour whit persistent beige foam. Fruity aroma with spices. Caramel sweet taste with yeast and a hint of citrus. Quite different from other strong belgian ale: a great surprise from a great beer!

Easy to drink considering its high ABV. The "forbidden" dark fruit flavors are very mild, this is just a lovely individual medium-dark beer.

Got this from the local supermarket. Ferm Head that quietly faints. Smell is sweet and grainy. Tastes like herbs (grain, alcohol and a bit of coriander). Nice beer.
