Cloudy amber with some red and a small head. Aroma is dusty with some malt and fresh fruits. Taste was below expectations with some esters. Too sweet without enough fruit flavors. More like a soda water consistency instead. Too bad.

(bottle) Hazy red coloured with cloudy big head. Fruity nose with a light smell of apricots. Light malty flavour with fruity aromas. The alcohol is well embedded and not disturbing. Nice beer.

What a pleasent surprise, I think this beer looks quite cheesy, and actually only bought it because i’ve tried everything else they had at the supermarket.. Nice, exciting flavour, that hides the alcohol quite well, very well balanced and aromatic, definetly a must try for a beer freak!

The zesty and exciting flavour of this ale hides its 8.5% alcohol content well. The highlight of every Hoegaarden beer for me is always the first sip which really strikes the palate and such is the case here, however the forbidden fruit seems to carry itself a little better than say the white. This beer is a must try.

Ƙ.8 % abv version). 33 cl bottle. Served in Orval chalice. Unclear brownish/orange. Moderate, off-white head. Deliciously spicy; full and rounded, yet fresh. Well-balanced.

A very fruity strong ale, very unique, The first sip was a very enjoyable spicy/malty/fruity explosion. Quite a bit of bite and some residual sweetness in the finish. Highly recommended.

Dark, burnt orange tending to light tan in the glass. Fizzy, hazy look. Nice nose of medium weight; dark toffee notes, almost a little cloudy. Suprisingly elegant in the front and mid palate, more dark malty notes, a touch of chocolate. Finishes firm with a sugary bitterness (makes sense?) that gives the beer a slightly disjointed feel.
