Slightly too acidic for my palate, full flavoured ale, with a very rich bouqet, i smelt a little nutmeg mixed in with some burnt 30 year old adours. Nice and tangy with a full body of ripe overtones, i tasted some lemony undertones, and a bit of burnt grass too (wink wink choke hold) a fairy good beer from a highly acclaimed stable of beers.

Red color steals. Adherent foam and of good persistence. Much balanced and with one sturdy structure.

A deep red-amber color with a light- tan head. Fruity, malt aroma. Barely perceivable bitterness. A bit of warmth from the alcohol. Lots of complex fruit flavors. Medium bodied. Overall a good beer.

A hazy dark amber beer with a huge light brown head. The aroma is very sweet with notes of coriander and oranges. The flavor is also extremely sweet, almost cloying, with notes of oranges and peach, the end is quite dry and spicy. The mouthfeel is thin, but the alcohol burns slightly in the throat.

Deep dark orange with a fluffy off white head. Aroma is sweet, alcoholic and very fruity (duh what’s it called) with a nice dried fruit taste and a toffee-ish finish.

Reddish brown. Unclear. Beige - almost golden - head. tall and lasting. Yeasty sweet aroma. Very malty sweet flavour. Elements of underlying sourness. Traces of roasted malts. A bit hops in the finish. Perfumy? Watery palate. Hides the ABV very well.

Malty, estery aroma, sweet and spicy with notes of orange, honey, pepper, coriander, clove, banana, licorice, dried flowers, vanilla, brown sugar and very faint wisps of alcohol. Hazy medium-dark red-amber color, seeming to glow from within, with a fine, slight off-white head. Flavor is sweet, sugary and very fruity and citric, with a spicy, floral, lightly alcoholic and musty finish. Mouthfeel is smooth and gently warming, body is full and rich. Highly flavorful. Enjoyable.

My 600th rating.
Bottled (BB 02/2006)
Hazy dark copper brown. Creamy, steady, brown head. Weak crisp aroma of lemon and malts. Mouthfeel is thin and alcoholic. Taste has lemon and dish water.
