| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 25, 2004 Served at room temperature. A tasty Belgian strong, that is full bodied for its relitavely modest alcohol contents. Slightly spicy. sayravai (3731), Helsinki, Finland
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 7, 2004 Updated: Dec 17, 2006(Bottled) Hazy, dark amber with a small head and some lace. Very plummy-raisiny-banana-fruity and quite wheaty-malty, slightly yeasty aroma - like a strong, sourish, German Dunkelweizen. Sweetish, slightly sour, grainy-malty flavor with wheat, dried fruit, berries (raspberry, strawberry), and a lemony twist. Some bitter hops in the finish. Warming, medium-bodied, sahti-rough, a bit foamy-carbonated palate. ABV is well hidden. Balanced, but quite straightforward. A basic Belgian strong without many faults. Actually better when cold (as suggested by the label). mds (2112), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
