Jul 12, 2004 Dark brown beer with reddich accent and ivory colored head. It has rich aroma’s of fine roasted malts,candy sugar,Curaçao orangepeal fine spices and coriander.This beer has a intens flavor and a good round body.In the end there is a fine bitterness of the roaested malts that goes well with the richness of the dried fruit accent.

Jun 16, 2004 Foggy brown color with a thick frothy head. Almost went over the glass!! Spicy aroma. Malty. Some fruit as well. Nice smooth taste. Hint of fruit, spice, and malt. Alcohol is masked very well. And very well balanced. Jeremy (jgb9348) made me buy this and man was he right!! Thanks buddy!!

Jun 6, 2004 nice dark brown color with big frothy head. Aroma is rich and malty with some spicy hints. Flavor is much the same, malty with some light spice and fruity hints.

May 25, 2004 Served at room temperature. A tasty Belgian strong, that is full bodied for its relitavely modest alcohol contents. Slightly spicy.

Apr 7, 2004 Updated: Dec 17, 2006(Bottled) Hazy, dark amber with a small head and some lace. Very plummy-raisiny-banana-fruity and quite wheaty-malty, slightly yeasty aroma - like a strong, sourish, German Dunkelweizen. Sweetish, slightly sour, grainy-malty flavor with wheat, dried fruit, berries (raspberry, strawberry), and a lemony twist. Some bitter hops in the finish. Warming, medium-bodied, sahti-rough, a bit foamy-carbonated palate. ABV is well hidden. Balanced, but quite straightforward. A basic Belgian strong without many faults. Actually better when cold (as suggested by the label).

Mar 23, 2004 bottle. deep dark copper in appearance. fizzy, quick diminishing head. You can see a lot of yeast floating around in there too. aroma is of sweet berries and is very malty. Carbonated mouthfeel. yeasty. finishes with a warm alcohol taste.
