COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Verboden Vrucht (Forbidden Fruit) is one of a kind. It is traditionally brewed with a mysterious blend of dark malts and flavored with spices. It underwent a slow second fermentation in the bottle so it matures into a delicious tasting beer with a complex flavor and a wonderful flavor balance between sweet and dry. Keep up this beer in a dark place and pour it at 5-6°C. Flavored with spices.

Bottle. Gusher. Pours murky rich amber with airy but stable off-white head. Clear aroma of fruit and caramel malt, with notes of hops. Sweet flavour of mal and fruit, with notes of caramel and alcohol bitterness. Bitter, slightly vinous aftertaste. Decent.

Aroma: prunes, malts, light caramel. Appearance: hazy dark brown, small creamy beige head. Taste: light bitter. Palate: bitters intensify, some sweets lingering in the background. Overall: OK Belgian Strong Ale, nothing too remarkable though. Bottle at Cafe Vlissinghe, Brugge.
