The complex nose and the flowery flavours are very good when it comes to hiding all the ABV! Thats why I aprove of this otherwise too strong beer in my opinion.

Sep 5, 2008 Pours brownish color with medium head that diminish quickly, the aroma is of rippen fruit, sweet fruit flavors with some cloves, finish has alcohol and hoppiness.

Aug 21, 2008 This is a strong brown ale and it’s apparent in the flavor. Dark fruit, alcohol and some spice.

Aug 19, 2008 Bottle. Used to be one of my favourites, flavour has changed a bit. Dark brownish/purple colour, off-white head. Aroma of sour dark fruits, malts. Flavour is sweet and dark fruits, a bit sour. Lots of carbonation. Out of the ordinary, definitely worth a try.

Aug 11, 2008 When I ordered this I didn’t realize it was made by Hoegaarden. Pours a hazy amber color, thin white head. Aroma is fruity with sweet malt as well. Dark fruit and alcohol is present in the flavor. Solid beer though.

Aug 11, 2008 what a great fusion between good belgian beer, and witbeer. still reminds me of delicious flavors from hoegaarden witbeer, but has like double the strength, and color. if you like belgian and like the hoegaarden flagship, this one will mke you weep. low score is because it is, after all, an in-between tryng to straddle two types that cannot be.
