EHopper (274), Minnesota, USA Jul 3, 2009 Very light like hazy white grapefruit, with a nice white head. Presented a very unique flavor combination of orange and zucchini, followed by nothing, no aftertaste. Made for an insanely drinkable beer, out on the deck, talking and soaking in the sun. jrallen34 (67), Illinois, USA Jul 2, 2009 Drank from bottle in Luxembourg.
This is pretty good for a widely available beer. Its light and you can drink a lot, not something i’d start the night with, but definetly have and will finish the night with it.
EFC1878 (250), Manchester, Greater Manchester, England Jul 1, 2009 Bottle, pretty much everywhere. Never been a fan of wheat beers but have had a Damascene conversion. Pours a cloudy, pale yellow with an initially frothy head that thins out but stays the distance. Aroma is lemon, sour apple, yeast and a touch of clove/cinnamon spice. Bubblegum/banana flavour with pepper and flowery touches. Pleasantly light palate, ideal for summer. I wish I’d been able to enjoy this before InBev got their grubby mitts on the brand. DeanF (70), Paris, France Jul 1, 2009 Pours nicely, great visual of hazy yellow. Smell of citrus, tastes of orange and spices. Very refreshing, good witbier for sure. JonnyC22 (159), Huntsville, Alabama, USA Jun 30, 2009 Light, good carbonation, but funky wheat aroma (still trying to gravitate from IPA to wheat); you can taste both the sweet and sour as the description says. Excellent with a lemon and some seafood. I rarely give a 5 for palate, but this deserves it. tilldeath (49), Arvada, Colorado, USA Jun 30, 2009 Updated: Jul 1, 2009Pour was lightly carbonated, and hazy unique straw colored. Citrus and cloves with spices in the nose followed by a lingering floral aroma. Light smooth mouth feel and not what you’d think from the nose on taste. Alot of clove present up front with little to no bitterness to finish it out. A great summer time beer for something different great up front on the taste but lacking in the finish kept it from a higher score.
P.S. On a side note my friend mentioned "it was like drinking the urine from god’s penis" Awesome luttonm (262), Belgrade, Serbia Jun 28, 2009 .33l bottle in Belgrade. Pours a spritely lemony-white with a good head. Nose is lemonade, tea, orange zest and lavender. Sharp, fruity taste with sparkling carbonation. A bit sloppy, wet feel with some dry bittering at the end. Sweet and sour is a good description, a very interesting style of beer. Tasty. natejgood (167), Denver, Colorado, USA Jun 27, 2009 Pours a very pale gold with a bright white head. The head looks as though it should disappear in no time, but it continues to build from the bottom and lasts for quite a while. The aroma is pleasant; a bit sweet with hints of spices. Before going into the flavor I have to admit that white beers are usually not my favorite. However, this beer has enough spice and other flavor to balance out the usual taste of the white beer that I found it quite enjoyable. The flavor is crisp, a bit sweet, with a variety of spices mixed in. The beer doesn’t have as much flavor as I would normally like, but it is easy to drink and is pretty refreshing.
