2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Jessop (85) - AUSTRALIA - OCT 26, 2011
Pours pale off yellow and cloudy with a foamy white head. Sweet aromas of bugglegum noticed. The flavour is sweetish/sour with a notable citrus tang. The beer is rather thin but overall good quality.

I love a nice wheat beer, but Hoegaarden just seems a little off to me. I don’t like the sour touch which gets in the way of the typical wheaty cereal flavour of a regular wheat beer. A lot of my mates will drink it but I’ll take most other wheat beers ahead of Hoegaarden anyday.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 HeistAlmighty (475) - Saint John, New Brunswick, CANADA - OCT 23, 2011
330ml bottle. Had this ages ago and thought it was pretty good. The one I had today didn’t really do much for me. Aroma was wheat, coriander and citrus sour. Appearance was an unfiltered, dish soap yellow with a large foamy white head. Taste was ho-hum, floral grains and coriander with some sourness. Body was medium. Overall, I just don’t like coriander that much.
4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 rjplumer (253) - Providence, Rhode Island, USA - OCT 22, 2011
Pours a hazy yellow. Mellow zesty feel. Like it advertises it has a sweet but sour taste that is well balanced. Has a sour but dry finish. Very nice brew I’ll definitely be getting this one again.
2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 stravale (384) - Inverness, SCOTLAND - OCT 14, 2011
Keg @ No.27 Inverness.
Straw white, very hazy, rocky white dissipated to a very thin covering.
Aroma of spicy hops, cereal, cloves, perfumy hops, some orange zest.
Taste of perfumy hops, wheat, spicy hop lemon, orange zest, coriander.
Palate - very low carb...dryish finish with citrus, spices and cloves....powdery smoothness but thin.
Beer not great condition here, rather flat. To be honest, I’m not all that keen on this.
3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20 badhack (53) - San Jose, California, USA - OCT 14, 2011
Served in a ridiculously huge stein type of glass. Pours a hazy white with a thick head. Smells of wheat and hops. A thicker, almost frothy mouthfeel and was sweet to my tongue. Also tasted of hops, malt and wheat and a bit of spice. Surprisingly complex and strange mix of sweet and sour.
3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 jesperhammer (1288) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - OCT 14, 2011
14-OCT-2011, draft @Sundby Sejl, served in the real 0,5 glass that is almost too heavy, but really cool.
Unclear, milky light yellow with lasting white low head.
Citric, yeasty nose with banana and apricots?
Taste is much the same with an added hoppy bitterness.
Body is a bit thin but still somewhat creamy. Carbonation feels on the low side, mostly due to the very small bubbles.
Lovely refreshing drink.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 aphelion1979 (117) - West Sussex, ENGLAND - OCT 14, 2011
Light cloudy yellow in appearance (not particularly attractive in my eyes). Clear thick head. Aroma is all citrus, yeast and flowers (slightly metallic strangely). Taste is light, hoppy, and not as sweet as expected. High carbonation, but very smooth. Leaves a sticky palate, but quite acidic on the finish. Cold, refreshing, and nice in the summer, but a little disappointing.
