Hoegaarden

The best white I’ve had. Mass produced and I haven’t had one that matches it yet. Orange flavour that just makes your mouth tingle. Fantastic.

RateBeer pulled my original rating. Apparently someone thought I had to be kidding. I wasn’t. I really hated this watery beer. Looks, feels and tastes like water with a bit of funky bleh mixed in. Did not finish it, did not want to. And sadly, I bought two... the other will probably go straight from the fridge to the trash. As a side note, RateBeer removing ratings, or not allowing low ratings for popular beers skews the validity of the results.

Great summer beer, very light and refreshing. Sometimes hits me as a bit sour, other times as a bit sweet.

Location: Have had this one many times.

Aroma: Citrus, spice, wheat, yeast
Appearance: Hazy whitish golden color
Flavor: Similar to the nose, sweet citrus with a little spice
Palate: Light and drinkable, a nice summer beer palate
Overall Impression: This is one of those beers where people say they are bringing over some good beer and then show up with a 6 pack of Hoegaarden. It’s alright, but I’ve always found it over-hyped.

Pours a hazy yellow with a two fingered white head. Aroma is spicy coriander and citrus. Flavor is citrus, light coriander, spice, and a little banana. Nice on a hot summer day.

Refreshing, with citrusy and spicy aromas and flavors. Good light wheat flavor. Great witbier.

I am not usually a fan of this particular style. But this is pretty damn good. Coriander and some banana in the taste. Very similar in taste to a hefe. The appearance of beer and milk mixed. Good balance of flavors. I would definitely have this one again.

Bottle. Too sweet and cloying, with way too much spice and fruit added. I used to like it, but now I find it very hard to drink a whole one. Give me one with fewer additives.
