Blockley (19), Sydney, Australia May 15, 2009 Bottle @ Home
I was quite surprised to find this in the bottle shop I was at, actually; probably the only decent imported beer in there. It pours a very cloudy, pale white/yellow body with a fluffy white head; the head doesn’t last too long though. Leaves very little lacing on the glass. Has a fruity, wheaty aroma and a smooth flavour, similar to the aroma, and a fairly light body without much carbonation. An enjoyable beer. OzarkElmo (117), Poplar Bluff, Missouri, USA May 14, 2009 Simply one of the very best in the world, and tops in its category. Tried on draft and from bottle. Citrus and light spice aroma with medium head mostly diminishing. Very smooth taste and excellent session beer. "Blue Moon" cannot hold a candle to this world-class brew - cheers to the Belgians once again! guyinchicago (516), marengo, Illinois, USA May 14, 2009 OK this has to be the most beautiful wit i have ever had. pour was a pale yellow and clear almost white hence the name big frohy head aromas of corrinder and citrus and some spice taste is of the same flavors are more intense than other wits i have had but still hate this style JediMindTricks (239), Hampton, Virginia, USA May 13, 2009 Light pale golden hues, big fluffy white head. Grassy yeast aroma and some hidden citrus tones. Light body and good higher carbonation...it is what it is... KUEric (632), Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA May 11, 2009 A nice whitbier, but not great. Corriander was the main flavor, some orange as well. Some bars serve it with an orange, but I pass on fruit in my beer. Out of the bottle its a little lemony, otheer citrus flavors. porterhouse (1148), Alna, Maine, USA May 8, 2009 (Draft) Cloudy lightly grayish yellow body with a finger or so of whitish head. Aroma of lilies, yeast, citrus and light spice with a bit of glue. Mouthfeel fairly soft and wheaty smooth, refreshing and lightly dryish. Light, weepy rings of lacing. Flavor is lightly citrusy (lemon) and light spice. Wheat malt and yeast. A bit sourish. Nice. Probably sets the standard for all mass-produced witbiers. bluecollarboy (36), Illinois, USA May 6, 2009 Citrus and spice aroma, with a somewhat pale apperance. Flavor is wheat with some spice and with hints of citrus (orange and lemon) throughout. Finish is a little flat and drinks a little thin. Overall, a great beer with a decent price tag. Joakgust (320), Stockholm, Sweden May 5, 2009 Bottle, 33cl - Hazy pale yellow colored beer with a nice big head. Aroma is fresh with hints of lemon, and yeast. Flavor is again citrusy lemony with hints of wheat and coriander. Not overly impressed with this Wit, although I do enjoy this beer a lot a hot summers day.
