Draught @ Gloria, Kuopio. Originally rated on 2.7.2009. Nice, refreshing and tasty witbier.

Appearance: The head is a beautiful frothy white head but it disappears fairly quickly. The body is a nice cloudy lemon-aid color.
Nose: strong lemon notes; slight hefe-weizen yeast/banana notes;
Taste: lemony and hops; mild banana and hefe-weizen yeast notes; carbonated bite; Finishes with a creamy balance of bitterness and lemon and hefe-weizen yeast.
Mouthfeel: carbonated, creamy.
Overall: It may not have the prominent delicious flavors of certain other wheat beers, but it is still very refreshing, a great summer beer, and one of my favorite go-to session beers because it is cheap, delicious, and widely available. It goes down incredibly fast and I often drink 4-5 bottles without even realizing it.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Benjii (1681) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUL 15, 2011
On draught at The Cuckoo’s Nest. A cloudy very pale straw colour with a thin white head. Aroma of pear, lemongrass, coriander and Belgian candi sugar. Thick mouthfeel. Flavours of coriander, wheat, berries with a lemon twist. Not the best I’ve had, usually it is more carbonated and pours with a thick white head. Over-rated nonetheless!
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20 RollinHard (951) - Fort Worth, Texas, USA - JUL 14, 2011
Pours a hazy straw color with a warm white glow and a moderate white head. Aroma is mellow, but there’s coriander, hay, dust, light orange, slight yeast funk, and an overall sense of harmony. Flavor is bright and tart with coriander and citrus taking center stage with hay, bread and grass not far behind. The yeast is drying and slightly funky. Finishes clean and mellow with sourdough toast and a hint of spice and citrus. Nice and dry. Where this beer shines the most is the mouthfeel. It’s lighter than a lot of witbiers, but the flavors are better held together, and the finish is amazingly effortless. It’s as easy to drink several of these in a session as it is to analyze the craft that went into making it. A classic with good reason.

33cl bottle. Superpale yellow with a foamy white head. Citrus aroma and taste of coriadel and lemon. A dry beer, but refreshing.

A classic of the style. Pours pineapple yellow with a lot of foam. Has the prerequisite orange peel and coriander on the nose. Lots of carbonation. The taste is dry without being astringent. The orange flavor follows throughout the swallow. Very nice.
