JKJ (24), Herlev, Denmark Mar 8, 2009 Pours a light cloudy yellow color. Aroma is of wheat and some lemon. Would be good on a hot summer day.
plutoodie (12), Belgium Mar 8, 2009 Fresh beer with a complex flavour created with coriander and orange peel, which creates a great sweet & sour taste. Drink chilled on a hot summer day! rohash (37), New York, USA Mar 6, 2009 Cloudy yellow, big white head. Plesant spicy taste and mouthfeel. Yeasty wheat taste. A good classic witbier. Cavie (1318), Fort Worth, Texas, USA Mar 4, 2009 Cloudy pour, rich head. Tastes similar to a hefeweizen but could have been better. finol (475), Nacka (Stockholm), Sweden Mar 1, 2009 Bottle bought at Copenhagen Central station.
Hazy light yellow with a big white head.
Citrusy and spicy flavour. Refreshing but not very interesting.. ansermadide (496), Kyle, Texas, USA Feb 28, 2009 Had a few of these in the pantry that I was trying to get rid of. Finally had an opportunity to ditch them at this month’s beer club meeting. I’m surprised I’ve never rated this one. Poured it.. looks like lemonade... Thin head, very light, metallic flavor, strong aroma and flavor of coriander. Celis refused to let his name be associated with this bastardized version of his recipe, and I’m with him on this one. ljstephenson (111), Lawton, Oklahoma, USA Feb 28, 2009 Very lemony and yeasty aroma, cloudy pour with a good white head, crisp and refreshing, finishes only slightly dry, great for a summer afternoon. hirigalzkar (550), Stockholm, Sweden Feb 28, 2009 Bottle. Look: Hazy yellow, big white head. Smell: Citrusy aroma. Taste: Fruity wheat taste. Small hop flavor in the aftertaste. Overall: An overrated classic beer. Sure, it is refreshing, but it lacks in complexity and is way too thin.
