Pretty brew, gold with a huge white head. The smell is classic Witbier, spicy and wheaty with hints of yeast. Tastes like a great Wit should, bananas mixing with a tart sweetness that is good enough without the orange the tattooed bartender keeps putting on my glass. Great step up from Blue Moon. (4//18/07)

Bottle. Beautiful pale yellow color, hazy, nice cmall creamy head. Floral aroma with citrus and coriander. Great flavor in the same landscape as the aroma. A tiny hint of Belgian yeasty banana flavors. A hint of grains and bread. Slightly sweet, slightly sour, dry finish. A bit thin, but very easy to drink.

0.33l bottle. Pours a hazy lemonade-yellow body with a nice creamy white head leaving big lacing down the glass. Aroma is nice citrus, strong hay, coriander, orange zest and a bit spicy. Lively carbonated, medium bodied and has a nice oily to watery texture. Perhaps a bit watery compared to some others wit, but still really nice. Flavors are yeasty, some hay, wheat, coriander, and a nice lemon sourness. Ends with a mild peppery finish and a long lasting refreshing wit aftertaste. A true classic and a great reference beer in the genre. Actually believe this was the first wit I’ve ever tasted and therefore also my first Belgian beer.

UPDATED: OCT 19, 2011 Hazy yellow-grey with bleached white head. Citrus/orange, basement and white sugar. Quite mellow. Taste is more pronounced, with acidic fresh body and slightly dry aftertaste, and typical Belgian white. I’d like more spices in here, but it sure is refreshing. (On tap in Antwerpen)

Pours pale yellow with a large white head. Aroma is wheat, coriander and orange peal. Flavour follows the nose.

Fruchtig-hefiger, recht milder Antrunk mit verhaltener und trockener Kräuternote, die eher nebensächlich erscheint. Das Ganze wird trockener, das Level wird milder und ist gerade noch so stark, das es nicht als wässrig einzustufen ist. Herber Ausklang, in dem die Kröuternote nicht mehr erkennbar ist. 8/7/8/7/8/8

Overall not a bad beer, but nothing great either. Another beer that got a “hip” brand name, and become one that everyone seems to want to drink. I think that it is over rated, but, it is a decent beer, Aroma is spicy with a hint of orange, Sweet taste, smooth middle, but funky off taste at the finish.
