nqualls (1429), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Feb 5, 2009 12 oz bottle. Poured a hazy yellow color with a two finger, foamy white head. The aroma was fruity, with slight spice present. The flavor was also fruit, with cloves present. This is a top notch, widely available beer. nickd717 (1276), Palo Alto, California, USA Feb 3, 2009 Hoegaarden is more than just the place where a pimp grows his workforce. Along with Guinness Draught, this is one of the best widely available beers out there. Nice whitish-yellow color with a white head. Light fruits on the aroma. Smooth and refreshing white beer with banana and clove flavors. Smooth palate, very refreshing. gary07734 (391), Tyne & Wear, England Feb 2, 2009 Cloudy pale yellow pour, foamy white head. Smell is clean, grassy and a little fruit. Taste is decent fruity citrus, wheat and grass, crisp and clean but still quite sweet. Pleasant enough. TheHulk (106), Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada Jan 31, 2009 A nice light wheat beer but not quite as thick or as flavourful as I would like. It reminds me of most wheat beers except it seems like it has been put through the North American suck filter and you are tasteing the leftover of the overfiltered, too clear version of what once was a really great beer. The smell and palate are still right on the mark, but the flavour just falls a bit short of your expectations given the depth of the aroma, which matches the palate. It is really tasty, but just too clear and light. GranvilleTim (467), Granville, Illinois, USA Jan 31, 2009 Nice white head with lots of tiny bubbles. Citrusy aroma and fruity taste. After swirling the bottle, the beer took on a cloudy appearance. Very tasty beer and not too pricey. Can’t wait to have this beer on a hot summer day after mowing the lawn. Cole (270), , Alberta, Canada Jan 30, 2009 FRom 330ml bottle.Pours cloudy yellow. Aroma of cloves ans citrus. Nice blend of cloves spice and citrus fruit. a respectable weiss. Rodders (114), Norwich, Norfolk, England Jan 30, 2009 Updated: Feb 5, 2009(bottle from co-op) Cloudy light yellow colour, smelt flowery with hints of soap, herbs and citrus. Tastes really light with more floralness and orange/coriander. Medium bitterness with a little sweetness. Was very refreshing and quite different to other stuff I’ve had, but not something I’d either drink a lot of or often. jkwalking05 (1483), Arlington, Texas, USA Jan 30, 2009 Staw yellow and cloudy with a decent sized white head. Aroma is of bananas and citrus with notes of yeast and spice. Taste is of light hops and spice wite some citrus.
