3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 WabashMan (970) - Noblesville, Indiana, USA - FEB 11, 2003
Admittedly, I am not a huge Belgian White fan. However, to the credit of this beer, I was pleasantly surprised, if not by its flavor, but by its nice palate and aftertaste. This is a very pleasant beer.

Decent, light, spicy: not astonishing but definitely better than the Michigan Brewing Celis stuff. It has citrus and spice, to be sure, but beyond that a faint chemical afterburn and through the whole thing a dramatic inconsistency of texture - skyrocket lemon head but fading to nothing at finish.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 3fourths (6939) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - FEB 9, 2003
UPDATED: AUG 16, 2008 [rerate needed] Pour was murky light with medium head, rich taste of coriander and orange peel really show up. Smooth and light on the mouth, avoiding the harshness that other witbiers have. Very enjoyable.
3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Hugerat (452) - somerville, Massachusetts, USA - FEB 9, 2003
Quite a nice beer. Cloudy with medium head and slightly sour flavor. I dunno about the best beer in the world, but I'd drink it again.

UPDATED: JUL 21, 2003 Cool bottle nice cloudy beer. Weiss beer is the best and this and Hacker-Pschorre are the best of the genre. I must say I can't make up my mind between the two of which is the worlds best beer. Great w lemon, and it tastes as good as a great meal. Light and smooth.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Darkover (1497) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - FEB 2, 2003
UPDATED: JUL 15, 2009 Pale yellow with a medium white head. Aroma of coriander and a little lemon. Sweet and fruity flavor. Sour finish.

Not too different from the tap version. Very tasty, although I don't like the look of the new bottle. They lost the cream colored label and made it more high-tech looking. Note to Interbrew: that's the wrong aesthetic.
4.6 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20 Admiral (524) - Schnecksville, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 31, 2003
Very harmonious. The orange peel, coriander, and yeast eclipse the malt yet it's still quite good. Light-bodied but not wimpy at all. Smells magnificent.
4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20 ferox (84) - Newcastle, ENGLAND - JAN 29, 2003
One word, wow! Quite easy to find on tap now. I prefer the bottled version, simply because of the novelty of it, but a nice pint of this, on a hot English summers day *cough* is heaven!

UPDATED: NOV 16, 2003 Rerate: Draught, Eurostar station, London. Cloudy lemon yellow. Spicy, with nutmeg and cloves. Yeasty, banana like. Very good.
