| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 16, 2009 A nice light citrus and grassy aroma. Pours out with a light golden body and a light white head. A lighter bodied beer with a complex and slightly sour flavor and a light lasting finish. chickenflea (14), Oviedo, Florida, USA
| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Oct 16, 2009 Bottle. Aroma like rotting citrus. This an is excellent description provided by a non-beer drinker. Having owned several citrus trees myself, this description is dead on. It is not an unpleasant aroma, but distinctive. Appearance similar grapefruit juice. Foamy head that dissipates within two minutes. Taste is typical but watery. Feel is creamy and a little oily. Aftertaste is a flat and unpleasant. I really wanted to like this beer because it is readily available in this area. With each bottle over several sittings I liked it less. RHeastings (395), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Oct 16, 2009 Often enjoyed from an 11.2oz bottle in pub glasses, goblets, and tulip glasses. The aroma is probably the best part of this beer, and is the benchmark for the style. Florally notes derived from perhaps coriander and chammomile, along with notes of orange and perhaps a touch of lemon. The palate is light and estery, but without losing a distinctly refreshing character. A bit of malt sweetness is evident, but it takes a backseat to the esters. Overall, a great wit, and clearly the prototype of the style. ComradeK (66), Australia
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/20 | Oct 16, 2009 Bottle. Tastes odd, and on the whole rather unpleasant. Initial notes are bizarrely medicinal, and it follows up with a slightly off-sweet finish. Far from the best beer I’ve ever tasted. voiceofreason (47), New Jersey, USA
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Oct 15, 2009 Why is this beer suddenly everywhere ? I even ran into it on tap at yankee Stadium.
Nice fruity smell, comes across a bit sour for me after a couple.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 13, 2009 25cl brown bottle, different from the one in the picture (taller, thinner). Pours a hazy, pale yellow with a medium, creamy white head with next to no lacing. Aroma is citrus and banana, typical wheatbeer. Lightbodied, but not watery in mouth feel. Taste delivers what the aroma promised: sour citrus grapes, offset by a slight banana sweetness. Dry, wee bit sour finish and after taste. Different from the Bavarian "Hefeweizen" (which is usually much sweeter), but totally characteristic of the Dutch and Belgian "whitbier" style. Very likeable, drank this on tap in England several times. Very sessionable, refreshing. Good light beer.
