4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: NOV 16, 2003 An excellent and reliable witbier! Crisp, juicy pour! (Best served with a lemon slice, or even better, an orange slice!) Intense flavors of wheat, mixed with citrus, mixed with pear makes for a very satisfying drink. Not too carbonated. Rich, creamy head. Refreshing as a summer beer, but with enough guts to be enjoyed in the colder months as well. Probably pairs really nicely with food, like a rib-eye steak, pork roast or even spicy Asian foods! Goes down real easy with a crisp, dry finish!

If this is available in a pub on draught its always my choice over the usual town centre pub lagers. Distinctive in terms of its colour and flavour. Love it, though it tends to get me drunk very quickly.

Hazy golden with a huge, white head.
Yes, it smells and tastes like a weissbier and it's dry and rather flat.

Very pale yellow, the color of pear. Light head, that subsides quickly, yet leaves a fine silky lacing on the glass. Initial taste is of wheat which belnds smoothly into the fruity finish of orange peel, pear, and mild hops. Quite smooth and interesting, I like this beer. Wish I could have a nice portion of sea bass, and pasta to accompany.

This is a great lawnmower beer with a nice balance of citrus and yeast flavor. Very good example of the style that is really good with shellfish.

Might I start off by saying I'm not a huge fan of Witbiers. Appearance is strange, very light almost like dirty water. A nice lemon and bread nose. Flavor is clean and refreshing with some lemon, apricots, bananas, and grapefruit. Palate is slightly dry and a little thin. This is a pretty good beer.

Nice plain White beer. But not many special characteristics. Probably a good beer to start with for beer newcomers.

Excuse my language but this is a shit-hot little beer. Tried it on tap in the UK last year and was worth every pence I paid for it. I bought another and another and another...you get the picture. Smooth, yet retains its flavour until the last moutful. Very citrusy with lovely head retention. If it weren't so damn expensive at my local bottlo I'd drink this stuff all the time.
