2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Nose is very yeasty and raw. Pours a dense one-finger head on a straw yellow cloudy body. Body looks like lemonade. Taste is very yeasty and wheaty. It tastes quite raw and unrefined. There is a flavor vaguely reminiscent of suntan lotion. There is a spice/clove taste on the finish. I don’t know. Not really my cup o’ tea. I like everything about it except that lotion like taste. The only other Witbier I have tried is New Belgium Sunshine Wheat, and it seemed to have alot more character.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at the Beer Sellar in Nashville. Great golden color with white head. Floral aroma. Citrus flavor with some clove. Not my favorite, but ok. Fairly palatable. Like most Belgians, deserves a second try.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Flowery aroma. Great yellow color with lots of sediment. The flavor is a touch spicey with a real wheatiness. This beer has mild amount of carbonation and a slightly sticky aftertaste. Overall, this is a nice beer to sit back and enjoy.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
A great Belgian White. Aroma is slightly citrusy and when poured it comes out cloudy and light orange in color while it supports a nice pure white head.
If you get the chance try it.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pale cloudy golden color with a big white head. Yeasty aroma with a bit of spice and green apples. Big wheat flavor with citrus, corriander and a nice mouthfeel. Clean, but there is a hunt of an aftertaste.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
What a nice surprise to find this one on draft in NY’s Kennedy airport at a little place in Terminal 2! Poured cloudy, light yellowish color with a thin white head. Aroma is fruity, slightly sour, citrus and spice. Flavor is pleasant, tart, yeasty, wheaty and spicey. Medium body and lively carbonation. Very pleasant.

One of my first Belgian whites. I can’t really say anything that hasn’t already been said, but I like it you know.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: AUG 25, 2011 Ah hoegaarden. Probably the first wit I ever encountered. Pleasant but I have encountered better wits. +++ This one came in a 12 oz bottle. Now that impressed me as most Belgian beer I encounter comes in an 11.2 oz bottle - so I did appreciate the slightly larger size. It poured the color of weak lemonade. Pretty sickly looking really. There was at least a small white head. The aroma was rather pleasant with reasonably strong citrus, spice an wheat elements. The texture was surprisingly dry. The flavor was nicely wheaty with spice and citrus present as well. The finish was very dry and slightly tart.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: DEC 17, 2005 A nice creamy hazy yellow with staying head. Mostly orange and a little coriander in the aroma (duh) with some lemon and a bit of a sharp acidic smell. Flavor is soft and delicate with lots of melon qulalities and many echoes of the aroma. This stuff simply rocks, and I can’t really think of anything more refreshing to drink.
