Rciesla (3510), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA Nov 1, 2008 Bottle. Truely honored to be rater #2042, i really feel like i have so much to add. haha, um im pretty sure it has over 300 calories thats usually how i convince girls to try whatever im drinking instead. No seriously its the flagship belgian wit and its decent and full bodied wheat beer with citrus flavors. marios23 (16), nicosia, Cyprus Oct 31, 2008 Draught. Goes down easily and can be very refreshing on a hot summer night. I like the flavour of citrus in my beer, but this one tastes too much like lemonade. Almost like a Corona after you drop a slice of lemon in it. kiwibt (51), , New Zealand Oct 31, 2008 Aroma of orange, corriander, cloves and yeast.Appearance is cloudy white/ash with good head retention and high carbonation.
Flavour is orange, corriander, clove. Almost no hops and little malt profile, however the yeast fermentation profile makes this beer. Finishes dry with a mild acidity.
Very good example of style. Jsawyer (282), Glenside, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 29, 2008 Bottled. Pours hazy pale yellow almost like lemonade. Effervescent white head that quickly subsides. It does smell like orange peel and coriander, also a little lemon and clove, but the spice and yeast is weak. Palate is highly carbonated but thin. I hope this wasn’t representative of this beer. terrybail (331), London, Ontario, Canada Oct 28, 2008 Updated: Jan 21, 2009Bottle from the LCBO
This is the Beer that got me started on trying different beers i thought i would have hated this beer and it is now one of my favourites
Phillies3814 (13), Tyrone, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 27, 2008 Bottle. Pours a hazy gold color with a white head. Smells of orange and wheat. Complex taste consisting of several spices. You can get orange peel, wheat and coriander right away. Best enjoyed with salads. Very good belgian white. ScottB (73), Bristow, Virginia, USA Oct 25, 2008 Pours a very pale hazy gold. Grassy nose. Citrus note from orange peel is detectable, but subtle. Same with the coriander. I’m ambivalent about this one.... Avengedpoet (325), Mesa, Arizona, USA Oct 23, 2008 Pours palest of pale (hazy) yellows with a small head. Aroma of wheat, pilsener, and spicing, though the spicing doesn’t scream coriander/orange peel like it should. Taste is distinctly of sweet tarts when it is cooler. As it warms up it tastes more pils/wheaty. No real spicing comes through at all. A little Belgian yeastiness. Pretty easy drinking, but definitely not the best wit bier.
