Unfiltered Belgian White, flavored with coriander and orange peel, creating a sweet & sour taste.

Draft, Nice to find this served on tap just like any other beer. Yellow with a milky haze. Properly wit-like in taste, with a note of coriander. Of course there’s a lemon taste, since it was served with a slice of lemon. Refreshing, nice to sit and nurse as the evening wears on.

I actually like other Belgian Whites better, but this beer looks so cool! Refreshing with lots of wheaty taste.

Very pale and hazy; firm medium white head; fruity, very aromatic nose (citrus, orange, coriander); fizzy, sparkling, refreshing; very smooth; fruity and a bit sourish aftertaste. A summer-wine........

I don’t understand all the fuss about this beer. Thin, poor taste. I couldn’t even finish it. Maybe just not my style.

a sweet citrusy aroma coming off a cloudy yellow body with a foamy white head. flavor is typically crisp and mildly sweet, with hints of orange and spices. a very refreshing, quenching mouthfeel that would be good anytime. a very enjoyable beer.

Tasted 03/04/2005. 330ml bottle from New Worl, Miramar. Hazy, straw gold, almost watery. Yeast in the glass look like flecks of gold from Shantytown. Wow, never noticed that before! The billowing, airy, white head quickly collapses into a nice thin head that laces strongly. First hit on the nose is sulfurish but this quickly disapates and leaves the classic corainder and citrus (more lemony than orange to me). Mouthfeel is very light and slightly tingly. Slightly sour citrus flavour that shows through more sweet wheat as it warms. At even warmer temperatures there is a hint of boiled candy on the nose. Palate again tingly (the spice and citrus, I guess).

With a thin white head, cloudy appearance, and beautiful aroma this beer is one of my favorites. The corriander and orange peel provides the perfect balance of flavor to the beer. Extra points for the oversized glass that makes you feel like a king while drinking it!

UPDATED: JUL 29, 2005 I had to re-rate this beer. I had this on tap at a local pub. Beer was poured in one of the big Hoegaarden glasses. Poured cloudy pale yellow with a nice head. Lots of wheat & yeast in the smell. The citrus in taste was very forward. I have also had this from a bottle and they were lacking a little in the taste but still better that my first experence with this beer (mabey I got a bad batch the first time)

Falls somewhere around a 5/10 at best, maybe 4.5/10. Hard-to-detect aroma, appearance a cloudy urine-yellow but nice head + retention. Flavor fluffy and light without any pretense of depth. Average mouthfeel. Perhaps the lightest of light Belgians. I’d be curious to see how this compares to 1 parts Belgian Strong mixed with 1 parts American macro. Letsee, [4/5 + 0.5/5] / 2 = 2.25/5. There you go.
