Unique spicy aroma. Light to medium body. Nicely balanced sweetness and acidity. A refreshing summer beer.

Hmmmm... wasn't expecting a sweet tasting beer like this. Thought I'd give it a try since JACK ASStor's had it on tap. Served in a vase-like tumbler. Very sweet. I didn't enjoy it as much as others on this board, but that may be because it was a draught, not bottled.

UPDATED: SEP 28, 2004 The hazy yellow color is nifty. Really spicy aroma. Tastes of orange peel, pepper, smoke, and spices. Hard to pick up on the hops with all the malt and yeast-based flavors in there. Quite an interesting beer.

Pale orange, dirty color. White head. Blast of orange in the nose. Flavors of orange peel, corriander, and bready malt. Hoppy tang at the end. Always a pleasure.

UPDATED: JUN 26, 2007 Bottle: Nice white head that disappears rather quickly with slight lacing. Very strong orange aroma with hint of spices. A cloudy pale yellow in appearance. While orange in smelling more orange peel in taste. Slighty sweet. Mild aftertaste.

UPDATED: JUL 13, 2004 Very large white head which is common. Nice pale hazy appearance. The flavor to me doesn't really jump out, but I could taste some fruit. One of the best whites I've had, white lemon also.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Notable coriander aroma over citrus that to me smells largely of orrange and faintly of grapefruit. Cloudy pale appearance that is entirely distinctive and very pleasing to look at, with a large frothy white head that dissipates quickly but that leaves heavy lacing. Bready but crisp flavor with a spicy tang that lasts. Medium-light body that is refreshingly dry. Overall, a delightful summer beer and equal to, if not greater than, the sum of its parts.

Now thats a Wit! Large white head, mediocre retention and a nice lace. Big fruity nose, citrusy, pungent. Hazy gold with a classic white background. Light body, excellent carbonation with a neat creamyness. Citrusy, light malty/bready flavors, vegetal flavors also. Sweet, but not overly. Finish is fairly dry. A joy to drink. Been a while. A classic.
