3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cloudy, very pale straw-coloured beer with a good frothy white head. Very nice lacing and doesnít overdo the carbonation. I was a bit worried to try this one after reading some of the descriptions since I normally donít like overly spiced beers Ė (How many of you ratebeerians really go in the kitchen often enough to know what coriander smells like?) Ė but the citrus and spice isnít overplayed at all. Very soft mouth feel and nice tangy aftertaste. Overall it certainly refreshes but it does lack enough character to really be one of the greats.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottled. 750 ml. Cloudy, pale yellow colour. Huge frothy head. Lemony, coriander aroma, yeasty with something like lactic acid. Citric, spicy, slightly tart with, again, strong notes of coriander and lemon. A nice mouthfeel, goes down easily. But if this is, supposedly, the best this style has to offer, I donīt know whatīs the point of it. The dominating aromas and flavours are added to the beer. Good hefeweizens have much more character than this and if you substract the artifcially added flavours from wit you are left with a yeasty, bland sub-par weizen.

250 mL bottle from Switzerland. Really hazy pale yellow Wit with thick creamy lacing white head. Nice lemon and light spices in aroma. Lemon comes out too in mouth, with fresh wheat and coriander notes. This is so classic! I like the 250 mL format. a good dieterís portion...hehehe

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
A very good Belgian witbier. It was bit more "subtle," or perhaps more dulled than expected but it was still a lovely beverage. Nice spicy smell, with a fruity and citric flavor to it. The corriander seems to play a big part in the flavor. Beautiful to look at, with a pale cloudy yellow color and creamy head.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap @Papago. Finally back in Arizona. Pours a nice cloudy light yellowish, almost grainy, color. Light sweet orange citrus aroma. Mellow in the flavor but nicely balanced, very thirst quenching. Has some wheat notes but not overbearing. Itís one of those beers that dont wow you but you cant put it down.

3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Iím happy with this beer. I donít normally like fruity flavors but the whole package just sits well with me. Nothing stands out on itíís own here. Everything is balanced and combind to produce a very good beer. I like this a bit on the cold side. I have nothing negative to say about this beer. Itís not my first choice but it certainly will quench your thirst.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
I never have Hoegaarden by the bottle, but itís one of the Belgian trio on tap at my local, so I have it several times a week. This could dull the novelty of it, and perhaps it does, but I still enjoy it immensely. It has a wonderfully cloudy appearance, that is complimented by the citrusy, herbal flavour that is so incredibly quenching and refreshing. For a major, mass-produced beer, this is outstanding.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Finally, I get around to trying the classic. Pours a cloudy gold with a medium sized white head. The aroma is the expected lemon peels and corriander. The taste is a nice lemon and orange. The finish is fairly bready. Slightly sour and this adds to the interesting character. A great wit, but not the best.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Okay for its style. If you let it linger in the mouth for a minute it shows some successful orange and lemony citrus blended in. Also, the aftertaste is largely citrus and not very "wheaty". In general I donít like wheat beers but this is ok.
