Iím not a big witbier fan. This is pretty good beer, but what else is there to say about it? I like the Limburgse wit that I am drinking right now just as much, if not more.

The classic Witbier. Coriander and curacao spices added. All other witbiers imitate this one. Must be tried.

An opaque beige color. A good íWití with orange peel flavors, needs a touch more spice. Similar to Schniederweiss.

Perfect wheat, very fresh and most enjoyed in the summertimes, when the weather is hot.

Last night I had few of these. I know much more about white beers since my last rating of Hoegaarden I had to re-rate accordingly. This beer is more delicate, less aggressive then many white beers. Still it kept its special character with nice complexity, smooth and so drinkable. In fact is so drinkable that I did not even realized that I had a bit to much last night (Right Doug?).

Sweet ní sour it is; disappointed in depth of spices discernable. Clean tasting beer, but was hoping it would have more flavour. Must try again.

UPDATED: AUG 8, 2004 Original rating 26th July 2002. Nose of wheat, citrus fruit and a faint aroma of alcohol. Pours to a large, loose and white head. Flavours of spicy coriander, balanced with citrus, light and slightly watery. The alcohol is well hidden. Pleasant spicy aftertaste. Very Good. Re Rate: It has to have been 2 years since Iíve tried this world classic, and Iím glad Iíve reacquainted myself with this old favourite. More or less as before, I noticed slight malty flavours this time, and a pleasant aftertaste that keeps on the tongue. A very good wit, not the best Iíve tried but up there.
