2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
yeasty and wheaty aroma, cloudy off-yellow appearance, wheaty with tangerine notes, this is quite watery with not very much aftertaste to speak of. This is a very bland beer which lives of its name rather than its quality.

What a pleasure! Light goldenrod color, little bubbles everywhere. Actually drank it with food and it held up nicely. Great citrus flavor and the yeast is right there as well. For a big brewer, this is very nice. Drinking this is like having a party in your mouth and everyone is invited.

Creamy head with slightly larger bubbles. Beautiful hazy, golden color. Quite a bit of carbonation. A little bit of sediment. Light, yeasty aroma. It makes my mouth start to water. Soft mouthfeel. A little yeasty and light-bodied. I think this is something I might keep stocked in my fridge. Might be tasty with a slice of something citrus.

UPDATED: FEB 1, 2004 Nice. I think I prefer Hacker-Pschorr but this is quite good as well. Yellow and cloudy with small particles. First impression was flowery. Somewhat acidic.

UPDATED: MAR 19, 2003 Bottle - Long-lasting white head. Citris aroma. Smooth with a slight lemon coriander taste. Great Witbier. It tastes great with most food and is my favorite work day lunch Beer.

A true Belgium wheat beer with a ticklish hint of coriander and curacao. My current treat beer, although you need a pub that has clean pipes or a fresh batch if sampling from the bottle.

I´m not a fan of the Belgian White style so my rating can´t be very high. Too sour compared to the German Wheatbeers.

I found this beer to be rather weak. Light golden color with a stark white head. Light citris aroma. Flavor was very subdued but flowery just the same. Nothing I would look for again.

Draught at Vlissinghe, Brugge. Plenty of flavour still from the trendsetting Whitbeer. The corianer, citrus is a little overwhelming for m taste but nevertheless a decent afternoon sampler

UPDATED: FEB 28, 2003 For me, this has always set the standard for the style. Wonderful in pretty much every respect. Great macrobrew.
