SmellGood (315), Memphis, Tennessee, USA Oct 3, 2008 Not my style o’ beer and sweet fruity aroma almost scared me away. I sucked it in and pressed on to find that this beer is quite enjoyable but too sweet for my tastes. undercurrent25 (30), Barnton, Cheshire, England Oct 3, 2008 This is possibly my favourite beer, it looks good tastes good and is a great summer beer UriahHeep (103), Georgia, USA Oct 2, 2008 Used the "swirl" pour method as described on the bottle. Pours cloudy, opaque yellow w/ a fizzy, white head. Aroma is of orange and malt. Thin mouthfeel; on the watery side. Hints of cinnamon, spice, orange peel, licorice. Easy to drink, though subtle and a bit too thin. Rcr84 (33), Canada Oct 1, 2008 Hazy yellow with thin white head. Very easy to drink and quite refreshing but really very boring in a sense. Much better wits out there but still fairly solid esox (259), Oulu, Finland Oct 1, 2008 Bottled. Pours hazy yellow with large cloudy head. Aroma is wheaty, yeasty and has quite sharp spicy coriander and citrus fruit peel. Flavor is a combination of sweet wheat and sourness of yeast. Palate is light bodied and soft, and very easy to drink. Still carbonated enough to be refreshing. Not surprising but certainly tasty and refreshing. gax33 (11), Minooka, Illinois, USA Sep 26, 2008 It’s obvious why this beer is so popular. It’s shockingly refreshing and easy to drink. A sweet taste without being too over the top. Can’t go wrong with this one. peuasa (34), Salvador, Brazil Sep 25, 2008 Bottle, 330 ml. Poor light yellow with white head. Sweet and refresh. A good beer, but not the best one. ZeidleBrew (8), , Connecticut, USA does not count Sep 25, 2008 This is the first beer that made me believe in the importance of the glass you drink it out of. The special hexagonal Hoegaarden glass really enhances the experience.
As for the beer, it’s one of my favorites. I tend to prefer darker beers, but this light yellow beer with a touch of spice is really refreshing and enjoyable.
