jeff789 (360), Pennsylvania, USA Sep 15, 2008 This is the beer by which all other witbiers are judged... It’s a favorite post soccer game or mid afternoon horseshoe beer of ours... As far as witbiers go, it’s a bit thin relative to the quality of the micro wits in its price range... But the thinness goes a long way on those hot summer days... jonahkorbes (8), Portland, Oregon, USA does not count Sep 15, 2008 Very nice Belgian White. The color was very yellow and took me by surprise. Small white head that slowly dissipated with occasional lacing. Nice subtle clean yeasty aroma with a bit of orange and hops. Excellent taste, primarily wheat and orange, with a bit of coriander and other spice. Coriander started to come out more on the palate near the end. EricE (446), Fairfax, Virginia, USA Sep 14, 2008 Very pale almost lemonade like pour with lots of bubbles and a nice white head. Wheaty spice with coriander and banana. Dry citrus flavor with spice and a bit of malt. Good easy to drink Sunday afternoon beer. ska (125), Italy Sep 14, 2008 Updated: Nov 27, 200833cl bottle, very pale and hazy yellow colour, nice white head, wheat, yeast and citrus aroma, spices notes, sweet flavor, light body, amazing finish with orange and florals notes VTHopHead (895), Barre, Vermont, USA Sep 14, 2008 Bottle - Poured a very pale yellow amber in color with a small bright white head that quickly faded to a thin rim around the glass. Some nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is thick with orange and coriander as well as the classic Belgian yeasts. Flavor is also quite heavy with orange, coriander and Belgian yeast. Slightly sour. Slightly over carbonated. Amazingly light colored. An excellent Wit... ThatBrendan (8), Phoenix, Arizona, USA does not count Sep 12, 2008 This is without doubt a classic. The beer that helped revive the Belgian Wheat Beer genre. The orange peel and corriander that have become almost universal among Belgian-style Heffs are still quite noticeable and remarkable and it looks, feels and smells just like a White should. If the day is hot and your in the mood to relax its still hard to choose anything better. ucusty (1871), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA Sep 9, 2008 Hazy & bright pale yellow pour with firm white head. Spicy aroma with notes of citrus, perfume and wheat. Spicy flavor with grainy notes. Wheat, mineral and almond notes. Some bitterness in the end. taalhiker (179), Dayton, Ohio, USA Sep 9, 2008 From bottle. August Dayton Beer Tasting event - Favorite Summer Brews. Pours pale yellow with a decent head. Aroma is subdued with citrus and hops. Lots going on in the taste: citrus, spice, yeast. Very refreshing.
