3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Aroma holds many spices....not overwhelming, but you definitely can't miss it. Initial taste is a high acidity laced with spices. On the palate, the spices really come to life and a hint of orange steps in. If in the mood for a Belgian, this could be your buddy through the night.

Hazy lemon colour with fair white head. Coriander seed and orange on the nose. Light sweet and bitter, trace of sour on the tongue. Negligible hops. Thin and light finish.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Ordered it on O’learys with a slice of lemon (!) in the glass. The beer tastes good, but nevertheless it seems that it’s far too characterless and thin for me.

Classic Belgian Wheat.
Wouldn't want to drink it with food - plenty of flavour of its own!

Bottle fro sainsburys. Pale misty gold with a creamy head. Wheaty aroma with banana. Same taste but with a hit of citrus. Lovely palate, really nice.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pronounced wheat aroma, strong white head. Light yellow-ish colour, sediment in the glass. Subtle coriander on the nose, hint of orange. Medium taste, very light finish. No hop in sight, as is to be expected. It’s Hoegaarden, what do you expect.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
DATE REVIEWED: May 22, 2014... GLASSWARE: Hoegaarden tumbler... OCCASION: freshman baseball--officially over, and marking the day with the official wit... APPEARANCE: pours a pale, golden yellow, unfiltered and misty with bubbles; white uneven head rings the glass; attractive... AROMA: profound yeast and lemon zest; a suggestion of citrus, but not enough to overpower... PALATE: bubbly, refreshing almost medium-bodied; a bit fizzy too; unlike most wits, it supplies a lingering aftertaste... TASTE: tart--banana! lemon is secondary, and some citric, slightly acidic elements in the aftertaste--this is what warm nights were made for...OVERALLL: I recall being really turned on to this beer in 20003,, when traveling through Europe in record-breaking heat drove Shan and I toward sidewalk cafes and alcohol that refreshed; cutting through the sentiment, Hoegaarden does indeed refresh with enough character to be sought after among the myriad of summer ales....
