This is one of my favourite whites on hot summer days, because it’s very refreshing 41cubs (131), , New Jersey, USA Aug 31, 2008 A great summer choice. I’m partial to this beer because it’s the one that started it all for me in the world of better beers. My impression now is not as lofty but it still holds up to other whites very well. Old pastry, wet straw and light yeastiness come through in the smell. Pours hazy clear yellow with the lightest of white frothy heads. Taste is very crisp, clean and slightly spiced with the carbonation adding a dryer finish that compliments the overall character very well. There will always be a soft spot in my heart for this beer. albertane (376), Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England Aug 31, 2008 Bottled. This hazy pale yellow beer has a sour wheat aroma. The flavour has a juicy fruitiness and perfumed quality with maybe a hint of pine.
