3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Slayer85 (862) - Firenze, ITALY - JUL 21, 2010
Bottle (4,9% ABV). A hazy pale yellow beer with a large, frothy, fizzy, mostly lasting white head. The aroma is lightly to moderately malty and lightly yeasty, with notes of coriander, orange peel, lemon. The flavour is moderately sweet, moderately sour, lightly bitter. Quite well balanced. Light to medium body, lively carbonation, long finish with light bitterness. Surprisingly good and easy drinkable. Also quenching, with a good spiciness. Nice beer.

Aroma is spicy with a hint of orange. Pours a hazy, cloudy light orange/yellow color. Frothy white head. Light on the palate. Heard many great things about this beer, some said its the best they’ve ever had. The beer didn’t meet my high expectations. You can taste a slight bit of orange while spices, possibly nutmeg, were the overpowering taste. Don’t get me wrong, this is a very good beer, but it wasn’t as amazing as people told me. Enjoy it, but don’t be fooled by those who say this is the best beer they’ve had. 12/20
3.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 illkarate (113) - Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 17, 2010
12 oz bottle, pours a light yellow with a fluffy white head. In many ways, this is the Budweiser of Belgian Whites. Wide distribution, easy to drink, good flavor but not too challenging, great for a session beer and perfect for a hot summer day. Flavors of lemon and orange, banana, cloves - everything one would expect from a traditional witbier. While there are definitely better witbiers out there (compare this against Jolly Pumpkin’s offering), this is an excellent beer.

Clear yellow pour. Smells bready and yeasty. Tastes like artificial banana flavorings. It tries hard to impressed, but I’m not impressed.

On tap at Pete’s in SF. Clear, light yellow. A very unique looking beer. Taste and smell kinda reminds me of a mimosa. Be careful with this one, the light fruity taste will make it go down like water. A pitcher can disappear in a few minutes.
