haha, just realized I had yet to rate this beauty. In Belgium I drank this and loved it. Here it is good, but just not the same. Hazy light yellow with a nice white head. I smell yeast, slight citrus and maybe vanilla?...flavor is tart and thirst quenching. Finish is carbonated and a tad dry. I do love this beer and very good mixed with Guinness too!

Draught. Hazy, light yellow with white head. Floral and bananas, Quite thin but refreshing in the summertime.

Bottle in the United States. Wonderful. Herbal aroma with some vanilla notes. Hazy pale yellow color with soft white head. Lot of lacing on the glass. Subtle wheat and yeast flavors with clove, coriander, a little vanilla, and finishes with an orange peel bitterness. Really like this.

Draft. served with a slice of lemon :-( Light cloudy amber. Nice notes of fruit, citrus and some yeast.Mainlky sweet and developes little sourness in finish 8 maybe this was due to the lemon?). as well some dryness. Very refreshing beer!

Bottle: Pours a natural cloudy straw color with a frothy white head. Aroma and flavor is initially sweet with hints of orange peel and bananas. Medium body finishes with a refreshing mild sour taste. One of my favorite after work beers during the summertime. Very enjoyable!

Pretty blonde brew with a good-sized head. The label is all right, and I like the octagonal glasses that it often comes served in. There is a sweet, saturated aroma on this Dutch treat - perfumey hops, sweet malts, a touch of yeast, and a little vegetal scent too. (Is this the world’s best-selling witbier? Was it the first?) There are tastes of clove, citrus, and wheat - but despite these dessert-like, festive characteristics, the brew is not sugary. Hoegaarden reminds me of fairgrounds, and laughter, and European cafes. Its weakness is that it is too light and watery. They may have begun shipping a more watered-down version to the USA, but that is just a guess. (I would love to try an imperial version someday!) There are better witbiers out there, but this is still deserving of its popularity.

Cloudy looking and very tasty, this beer is surprisingly sweet. Better than I expected.

Pours a hazy pale yellow peach flesh color with a thick frothy white head. Decent lacing. The aroma is all wheat, with some citrus and coriander. Decently spicy. The flavor is yeasty with a lot of lemon and coriander. Very sweet, yet crisp. Medium body and very refreshing. A pretty solid beer for being so widely available and relatively inexpensive.
