I’m not really feeling this one. I know it’s THE beer for the style, but then again I’m not big on the wheats. Cloudy yellow pour, fruity with a little much banana for me on the smell and taste.

UPDATED: MAR 22, 2010 Bottle 330ml. Deliciously aromatic beer. Aroma is citrusy, with banana and fresh grass. Taste is lightly sweet at the beginning, with sourness taking over, and lingering nicely at the end. Cloudy yellow, with a thin head that disappears. Light body, oily texture, good carbonation.

A smooth thirst quencher with a unique flavor. I definitely recommend this one. I’m normally a fan of strong dark beers this was neither and I still really enjoyed it.

UPDATED: OCT 4, 2009 Nice yellow colour but head was poor when I got it. Spicy flavors. Not bitter at all. Sweet but not overbearing. Very refreshing.

On tap at the Flying Saucer in KC. Pours a cloudy, yellow-golden body with a finger-width, creamy, white head that dissipates quickly and leaves a light lacing. Aroma is light wheat malts, slightly sour citrus, sweet yeast, faint banana, and a soft coriander spicing. Flavor is the same. Starts with the wheat and some creamy banana before a soft coriander comes in and a slightly sour citrus finishes this off. Finishes dry and crisp with some zest after a light to medium, smooth body. Medium lingering aftertaste of citrusy wheats and a light spice. Overall, nothing too exciting, but nothing to complain about either. Solid.

Draft at Brownstone Bistro in Toronto. For some reason, I’ve never had this beer before. Golden yellow pour, white head, served with orange slice on the rim. Fruity taste, some citrus fruit, even some banana. Orange flavor for sure, but I think this was because it was served with an orange slice. Enjoyable witbier on a warm summer night, but nothing really exciting. I don’t drink the wits too often, but this one isn’t too bad. Suprisingly flavorful.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Jacobsen (29) - ITALY - AUG 29, 2009
Very light beer with a good and aromatic foam. The aroma is so complicate, it’s absolutely fruity, and is also refreshing.
I like it with a slice of lemon.

Pours a foamy, white, lacing head with a hazy, straw color body. Smells of yeast, zest, and banana. Flavor is yeast, zest, and banana. Nice carbonation.
