Unfiltered Belgian White, flavored with coriander and orange peel, creating a sweet & sour taste.

Fľaša. Mútna žltá farba, pekná biela pena. Vôňa pšenice, banánov, citrusov a koriandra. V chuti najskôr citrón, neskôr koriander a v pozadí sladká sladovosť, pšenica a jemná horkosť. Fľaškový Hoegaarden mi vždy chutí viac ako čapovaný.

It poured a pale yellow color with a white head. The aroma was of citrus, coriander and some yeast. The taste was mild, sweet with citrus and coriander and a chalky, yeasty backend.

One of the most delicious aromas I’ve encountered in some time. A great variety of tart and smooth tastes follow, with a tart dryness holding court at the finish. Very nice. Enjoyed from a bottle.

Bottle from supermarket.
Lemon juice colored, moderate hazy body, with a big, frothy, white head, that dissipates quickly.
Aroma of wheat, citrus, orange, spices, esters.
Taste with about the same aromas and some more banana.
Mouthfeel is light, slick, with a medium carbonation and it finishes spicy, slightly dry and fruity.

A refreshing, light, but not thin, classic example of a Wit. Nicely balanced and very easy to drink. Enjoyable!

My first Hoegaarden in 6 years! A cloudy yellow appearance with no head but a pleasant aroma of lemon, orange, wheat and coriander. Taste is dry and fragrant and nicely complex. Pleased I gave this another go.

UPDATED: NOV 25, 2014 Pale, cloudy yellow colour, with a white head. I definitely got the orange on the nose, the coriander not so much. Furthermore an aroma of lime and ginger. Refreshing taste of... what? I’m not sure. Maybe lime again. For sure it’s slightly sour and neither bitter nor sweet, nor bitter-sweet either. Slightly... tasteless probably describes it best. What struck me about this beer was its very watery palate. Not really sure what all the fuss is about, although it is easily drinkable and nice enough for relaxing on a hot summer day, I suppose.

12 oz bottle. A hazy straw color, no head to speak of. The color of lemon juice. Aroma is lemon, orange, sugar, and spices. Sweet and sour citrus, coriander, cloves, and hay. A little carbonation, clean finish.

UPDATED: NOV 9, 2014 330ml bottle served in its own tumbler glass. A: Pours a completely cloudy pale yellow color forming a huge and creamy white head. Great retention with tons of soapy lacings formed and left in the glass. S: Smell is a must! Complex and very spicy. Coriander, orange zest, vanilla, Belgium bready yeasts, sweet pale grains, wheat, fruity esters and flowery hops. T: Complex as the nose. Very spicy beer. Wheat backbone. Notes of pale malts, coriander, pepper, orange zest, vanilla and sweet bread. Light bitterness. Citrus hops and earth notes in the end. M: Medium body. Smooth and creamy. Medium carbonation. Citrus and bready aftertaste. O: Great drinkability. Classic Belgian Witbier. Malty, spicy, fruity and VERY refreshing. [ BA Review @ 9/3/2010 ]
