Light yellow with a nice thin yet fluffy head which stays around for a while. Extremely refreshing citrus nose. The taste follows the nose starting with deliciously creamy and delicate citrus flavors which prelude delicious spice in the form of cloves.Very light and refreshing yet with enough character to maintain interest.

A 330 ml from a Sofia supermarket. Very light but hazy in colour with big and steady head and well carbonated. The aroma is citrus-y. The taste is sweet and refreshing with a bit of an exotic nuance.

A very enjoyable Belgian witbier, fresh and flavorful, a little on the lighter side but I suppose that makes it more quaffable. Pours a lighter golden orange hazy color with good proportional head and lacing. Aroma is clean banana and yeast, some wheat and grain. Taste is the same, a little light on the flavor intensity but sufficient. Mouthfeel is thinner than I would prefer but is ok, finishes smooth and clean. A good average white beer, also seems to be in a decent price range, and better than the macro alternatives. Recommended overall, but weheinstephaner hefeweiss is the finest in this category, and is essentially similar to this but with amplified intensity.

Keg at the estcourt arms. Revisiting an old staple. Clouded bright yellow straw coloured pour with a steadfast white head. Aroma is lemon citrus, wheat grains and some lavender floral notes in the nose as well. Flavour is wheat, citrus lemon, chalk and semi sweet in the finish. Palate is loose, grainy and thin. Decent enough although I remember it being better.

330ml bottle from Carrefour, Xintiandi, Changchun. Pours cloudy pale yellow with a white head. Aroma of yeast and spice. Initial taste is of a German weiss with a lemon edge. Refreshing on a hot evening.

Alright, I guess I’ll finally do this. This was poured into a mug for review but have had in mainly pint glasses over the years. The appearance was a really nice looking hazy pale yellow to orange color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within less than thirty seconds. There’s some light lacing. The smell was fairly yeasty with a semi-tough sour note coming through in a sharp citrusy of sorts. The taste was mainly sweet yeasty and sour with a light backing from the citrus notes. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium with a fairly decent sessionable quality about it. The carbonation seemed fairly subdued with nothing really over the top to suggest this was a very good mouthfeel. Overall, honestly, as many times as I have had this, I will say, and I know this is true to its style but really, this is just an average beer to me and that I’m not really into it.

Pours hazy pale yellow with a big but quickly disappearing head. Sweet and sour aroma with citrus, malts and some spices. Taste is slightly malty with sweetish citrus and some spices too. Slightly sour but very short finish. Mild and watery. A typical Belgian witbier; a good thirst quencher but rather tasteless. (0,33 l bottle, best before 04.04.2015)

33cl bottle. Drunk many times over the years. This is a rating from bottle at the White Horse, Parson Green. Pours unfiltered, hazy pale yellow with big creamy head. Classic wit aroma, lots of spice and coriander. Taste is vibrant and floral with spice, coriander and orange rind, and its possibly a little sweeter than i remember. A classic without a doubt.
