Cloudy pale blonde color, thin white head. Nice aroma of citrus, maybe spices also. The flavor is mostly citrus, maybe spices too. Light to medium body, oily mouthfeel. This is a mainstream witbier, it is easily drinkable by a lot of people, but it’s not very good.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 FROTHINGSLOSH (3388) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 25, 2004
UPDATED: AUG 25, 2011 Ah hoegaarden. Probably the first wit I ever encountered. Pleasant but I have encountered better wits. +++ This one came in a 12 oz bottle. Now that impressed me as most Belgian beer I encounter comes in an 11.2 oz bottle - so I did appreciate the slightly larger size. It poured the color of weak lemonade. Pretty sickly looking really. There was at least a small white head. The aroma was rather pleasant with reasonably strong citrus, spice an wheat elements. The texture was surprisingly dry. The flavor was nicely wheaty with spice and citrus present as well. The finish was very dry and slightly tart.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 ante (3375) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JUL 22, 2003
Pale yellow and hazy with white creamy head. Yeasty aroma with citrus and some pepper. Taste is yeasty and sweet with some acidity. Some drieness in the finish. Could have more character but it's still a good summer beer.

this was part of the samples at my 1st appearance at the forum with HansK....Fresh and very flowery and fruity...looks like a lime grapefruit juice...amazingly good flavour..lichi juice springs to mind.the bottled version sure is a bastard when compared to a delicous tap version.

33cL bottle. HB Dana. I have many memories of enjoying this beer. Sitting in a sidewalk cafe in Paris enjoying a pint comes to mind...
This one was enjoyed in a Tumbler Glass. Hazy yellow-white color. Definite appearance of being unfiltered. Thick foamy bright white head. Aroma of popcorn, coriander, citron zest. creamy light bodied. flavors of malted wheat

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 WeeHeavySD (3344) - San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA - JAN 7, 2007
On Tap @ The Imperial House, a strange psuedo hip Piano Bar in San Diego. This place is usually very good with their beer barware but sadly this brew was served in a Bud Light Pint Glass. The brew poured pale yellow slightly cloudy with barely any head. The aroma had a bit of hop to it but really nothing special. Taste was basically okay nothing to be surprised by. Eh, ok not bad not stellar in anyway.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 EithCubes (3340) - GERMANY - MAR 28, 2006
Bottled (75 cL - woo!). Pale yellow pour, like lemonade, hazy and crisp. Foamy, frothy white head. Aroma fills the room: dusty, yeasty, fruity, and yes, there’s some coriander there, too. Controlled sweetness, short-to-no aftertaste, creamy mouthfeel. Tastes as it smells, it is a wheat beer, after all. Very very mild sourness. Slight citrus. Alcohol perfectly hidden. Bonus point for subtlety, but I’m not getting worked up over this one - far less challenging than, say, a Leipziger Gose. Then again, mildness is probably this one’s virtue.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 IrishBoy (3339) - Bakersfield, California, USA - JUL 22, 2007
Bottle from Hollingshead Deli and my son-in-law Colin; Nose of citrus, sweetness, spices, and yeastiness; hazy yellow with a big white head; flavor of citrus, spices, and a little fruity melon.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Beerlando (3325) - Orlando, Florida, USA - JUN 18, 2007
Pale and cloudy yellow color. Aromas and flavors are orange, lemon, coriander, nutmeg, and wheat. The background is set up to be lightly sweet and refreshing, but it is intensly overspiced in my opinion. I don’t like the excessive use of corriander and other spices. Otherwise, a solid beer.
