Pale yellow, cloudy, thin collar. Strong spicy aroma (coriander) and citrus fruits. Dry taste, spicy (coriander and cloves); light malt and hop. Palate simple, not too bitter, enough spicy. Good example, but Witbiers are not my top ones.

UPDATED: JAN 4, 2012 I’ve tasted this gem many times before; the first was actually in Belgium. Hoegaarden is crisp, smooth and delicious. I had a glass yesterday at brunch. The color is very light; the head is quite thick; and the aroma is citrusy and refreshing. The taste is similaly fruity, though to a lesser degree.

UPDATED: JAN 29, 2004 Color reminds me of lemonjuice, but the head looks better. White and very creamy. Aroma is typical for a weissbier with notes of citrus.Flavor is a little artifical, maybe a little fruity. Typical weissbier here as well, but not very much to my liking.

On tap at County Hotel, JDW, Ashford Really refreshing especially with half a slice on lemon. Good wheat beer with just a tang of orange and coriander. If nothing else is on I am quite happy to have this

Hazy pale yellow with a big white head. Beautiful when poured into the proper glass. Aroma is sweet fruity, yeasty, citrus and coriander. Flavor is moderate sweet. The finish is light acidic and sweet. Very refreshing and fantastic on a hot summer day. 060211

UPDATED: AUG 9, 2006 Bottle. Hazy, pale yellow with with dense white head. Orange, coriander, banana and yeast in aroma. Light in flavour with a fizzy mouthfeel. Dry, but unhoppy aftertaste. Works well as a thirst-quencher, but tends to be a little too much after some bottles. (050927)

Bottle. Nice big head with medium duration. Pale pale yellow. High carbonation. Taste is fruity with just the right amount of citrus and acidity - which means not too much like many others.

Very hazy citron yellow with small white head and some carbonation. Aroma is yeast and wheat and some crisp citron fruit. Very fresh aroma indeed. Taste is something similar to German weizen but not so sweet, extremely freshing beer. I have to try this tapped, which I haven't found for a long time.

A: The pour is an extremely pale yellow color with an intense haze to it. The head is medium in size and white in color. S: Big time coriander aroma to this beer. The wheat and other malts provide a moderate amount of sweetness to the nose, and there is a minimal citrus note. T: Again, a heavy hand on the spice component. Lots of coriander and wheat with a distinct lemony tartness. Where am I, BJ’s? M: The body is quite light and the carbonation is quite high and lively. D: Another one of those really well known beers that everybody sort of has to try somewhere along the way. I haven’t had this beer for a long time, but I did not find it did much for me on this occasion.
