3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Striking color when poured. Looks unfiltered and very cloudy. The head is white and fluffy. The taste is sweet but not overpowering. I don’t taste the banana everyone else talks about, but there is something fruit like about this beer. It is easy to drink, tastes good and is complex. This is one of the better beers I’ve had in a while. Still...nothing that I’ll probably get again. It just doesn’t hit my right spot.

4.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle - Pale straw color. Has very strong sour citrus flavors with a strong aftertaste. Great summer beer, especially while sitting in the great outdoors.

Cloudy yellow, big white head. Plesant spicy taste and mouthfeel. Yeasty wheat taste. A good classic witbier.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
I drink this beer about as much as any because its complex and thirst quenching. Each time I have one I get the impression of many novel characteristics. Certain times the creamy agricultural earthy grains come to the fore, the next its the coriander and rich spices which predominate, then its a crisp lemony finish; but always, everytime, there’s the beautiful warm phosphorescent yellow glow and a white inviting foamy head. A world class beer if there ever was one.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pale yellow color with big white head. Strong coriander aroma, also wheat and citrus fruits. Flavor matches the aroma + you get some banana sweetnes. Refreshing, but it feels bit watery afterwards. For beer this famous, it’s great.

This is definitely my fall back beer when I want something light to finish off the evening, but, unfortunately it rates 2nd to Allagash White. Allagash is just an amazingly beautiful beer.

On tap at Mile Square in Hoboken. Tasty beer that’s perfect for a sunday afternoon. Nothing like sitting outside with some friends and having a refreshing Hoegaarden.

No matter how many times I have had it I still enjoy this beer. Nice citrus and ginger notes with a body that seems to be both light and creamy at the same time. Excellent stuff and becoming much easier to get.
