UPDATED: DEC 10, 2011 It’s just not very good. Really light cloudy yellowish color, almost no head, smells kind of funky and is quite watery. I can drink it, I just don’t care for it.

33cl bottle. Poured cloudy pineapple yellow into a shaker glass with a 1-finger creamy white head (rapidly diminishing). Nose is spicy and fruity with a not-unpleasant whisper of DMS. Very crisp. Flavor is lightly bitter with coriander and a hint of DMS. The orange peel comes through in the short finish. Lightly sweet grainy malt flavor. Could be a little sweeter to offset the bitter/sour citrus peel, but this is a minor complaint. Light body with pleasant carbonation. Very refreshing! Better as cold refreshment than any of the bottled hefeweizens I have tried.

Miam

Still the standard by which other wheats are judged .Pale straw in color with a minimal, white head.Citrus and Bubblegum on the nose. Lemony hay that finishes with a sweet pineapple flavor. Still very enjoyable.

UPDATED: APR 2, 2007 Bottle. Very approachable witbiere. Pours a frothy white head, and delivers a mild minty betterness. Finishes sweet with pine needles and clove.

Tap: hazy, yeasty aroma and flavour. Nice white head, perfect on a hot sunny day with lemon.

I drink this beer about as much as any because its complex and thirst quenching. Each time I have one I get the impression of many novel characteristics. Certain times the creamy agricultural earthy grains come to the fore, the next its the coriander and rich spices which predominate, then its a crisp lemony finish; but always, everytime, there’s the beautiful warm phosphorescent yellow glow and a white inviting foamy head. A world class beer if there ever was one.
