The original, had to try it finally after having a few beers that try to be Hoegaarden. Turns out ones like Allagash white do a pretty good job of emulating this beer. Pours the normal suspecting white style with a big foamy head. I taste the coriander notes, but itís not overwhelming which is good. I also tasted that citrus tang that is to be expected. Everyoneís had this, itís good, but not great. Glad Iíve had it a little later in my beer tasting adventure since it would have struck me as a little more fascinating at my earlier beer drinking stages.

one of the best white beers Belgum has to offer. Strong coriander taste, smell is very crisp. This beer compliments almost any food. Color is very pale and cloudy, with a nice foam top. The coriander leaves somewhat of a nice after taste.

Bottle. Nice refreshing, full bodied, spicy and fruity, a little sweet and a hint of sourness in the aftertaste.

Very light straw, hazy with a moderate head. the aroma has light notes of coriander. The flavour is refreshing, light and quenching with notes of coriander and fruit, mostly citrus. Itís nice, but a bit on the light side.

UPDATED: SEP 10, 2007 It appeared a very corn-colored cloudy, like a lemon jellybean, and didnít look very appetizing at all. The white head looked like spa foam. It was sweet and fruity on the nose, with some citrus sours like weak lemonade. Clean, crisp, and way too carbonated, the beer had the consistency and some of the flavor of champagne (thin, foamy, watery). It also appeared to have some melon-y notes. Overall, it seemed to me like the Belgian version of Miller Genuine Draft. Edit: This beer has a way of growing on you. Although it has too much carbonation for a proper ale, it is nicely spiced and appropriately sweet for a wit.

A friend picked up one of these just for the hell of it. Nothing really that crazy on this one, but sometimes its a good thing. I could easily get 6 of these and have a good night.

Pours a hazy golden with nice foamy pure white head. Nose of hay, some slight fruity esters which grow stronger as the beer warms. A fizzy mouthfeel but without a body or a bold flavor to match, can be very refreshing on a warm summer day, but really a seasonal beer. Coriander comes through much stronger than orange peel.

Completely true to description of sweet and sour. Less head than many Belgians. Cloudy straw color.

330ml bottle. Aroma is yeasty. Large white head that mostly diminished and left little lace. Pale yellow with a white haze in the sparkling body. Flavor is sweet and yeasty with a little citrus. Palate is light and lively with a short finish. Itís ok but a lot of yeasty Belgian flavors. Good example of the style.

Bottle. wheat, bread and citric aroma, nice white head and yellow color. the flavor of citric is not too acid, but a light sweetness. A good witbier.
