the foamy head is nice. Has more of a dark fruitjuice than a beer. Itís special alright and definitely the best beer from Hoeksch Iíve had so far, but they still need to do some work.

Bottle from Mitra van Bergen. Orange body with huge head. Yeasty nose, some floral notes. Slightly sweet taste, gets a tad dry, then bitter. Warms at the finish. Okay.

Courtesy of Fonefan. It’s medium golden with a huge, nice and creamy head. The aroma has sweetness and notes of syrup and walnuts. The flavour has sweetness and notes of malt, syrup, caramel and the finish has hints of walnuts. It’s smooth, pleasant and uncomplicated.

Bottle, bought at Kent Beer Festival 2004. Obviously, after a hard day drinking 55 plus beers at GBBF, what is required is a nightcap. Sort of orange/amber colour. Hazy. Didnít pick up much other than a sweetish malt and light spicing in the aroma. A bit sweet but thereís some bitterness to prevent things getting too out of hand. Yeasty flavour and a treacly feel on the palate. OK but not nothing exceptional.

Cherry, woody aroma. Opaque caramel coloured body with low off white head that recedes to ring. Cherry, woody, caramel flavours with moderate bitterness. Medium-light body with fair carbonation. Bottle sampled post-GBBF with chris_o, daniel_brown and maeib.

Bottle round Chris_oís house. Opaque orange, with lacing and a thin head. Thick, complex aroma: woody, mossy, wheaty. Nice mouthful: full of sour, sweet, heavy honey tinged flavours. Heavy, but a little discordant. Perhaps too sweet.

Bottled. A mid brown to amber coloured beer with a pleasant coting of white head. The aroma has strawberry like fruits and a little spiciness. The taste is hoppy and peppery with berry fruit and a little pear drops late on. A nice easy drinking beer.
